The problem this seat exists to solve
The adviser will improve how technology risk reaches a governing board. The assignment is not to produce a more attractive dashboard; it is to help directors understand the consequences, evidence and decisions attached to material exposure.
Professional judgement in communicating uncertainty
Candidates should have technology-risk experience and a record of working directly with governing boards. They need analytical discipline, plain-language communication and practical understanding of assurance limitations. Experience translating operational evidence into an investment or risk-acceptance decision is essential.
Reconstruct the decision behind the pack
Review the relationship between operational data, executive interpretation and board conclusions. Identify measures that arrive too late, combine unlike risks or imply certainty unsupported by testing. Examine whether overdue issues remain visible and whether management explains the effect of changing assumptions.
The adviser should work with both report producers and board users. A pack that is concise but removes necessary context can be as misleading as one that buries the decision in technical detail.
Use an anonymised disruption or investment case to test whether the proposed reporting would have shown the important signal in time. Ask what the board could reasonably have decided and what additional evidence it would have requested. This reveals whether the design supports oversight or merely describes events after they occur.
Design and validate the new reporting approach
Recommend a small set of decision-relevant views covering service consequence, risk movement, assurance and action ownership. Definitions should be stable enough to compare periods while allowing new risks to be surfaced. Where thresholds are used, clarify when professional judgement should override a mechanical indicator and how that judgement is recorded.
Deliver definitions, sample reports, ownership arrangements and a practical introduction plan. The board and executives retain their respective decisions; the adviser must not create an implied assurance opinion through presentation. A successful engagement leaves readers able to distinguish what is known, what is assumed and what action follows.

Before you apply — an advisory engagement
No office of director, and no appointment formalities.
An advisory engagement creates no directorship in Norway. There is no registry filing, no regulator pre-approval, no residency arithmetic and no statutory director liability — which is why it is so often the right first step into a market you do not yet know.
- On this brief
- Independence
- Where the engagement specifies independence from any search that follows, that is a requirement of the engagement rather than a courtesy — an adviser to a board is not a candidate for it.

Operating model design organisation in Norway
This engagement examines how performance measures influence cooperation across functions. Advisor on Federated Enterprise Governance
Norway·Business Services & Diversified
Operating model design organisation in Norway
This appointment will advise on the division of responsibility between enterprise leadership and operating units. The mandate concerns where common direction adds value, where local knowledge should govern and how the enterprise can maintain visibility without repeatedly intervening in routine decisions. The advisor must make the resulting trade-offs explicit and operationally credible.
Advisor on Change Capacity and Workforce Adoption
Norway·Business Services & Diversified
Operating model design organisation in Norway
This advisory role examines whether an organisation has the managerial and workforce capacity to absorb its planned changes. It focuses on the interaction between operational demand, training, process redesign and competing initiatives. The advisor should identify where a programme relies on invisible employee effort and propose choices that make adoption achievable without compromising everyday service.
