Advisor on Change Capacity and Workforce Adoption

Operating model design organisation in Norway

The problem this seat exists to solve

This advisory role examines whether an organisation has the managerial and workforce capacity to absorb its planned changes. It focuses on the interaction between operational demand, training, process redesign and competing initiatives. The advisor should identify where a programme relies on invisible employee effort and propose choices that make adoption achievable without compromising everyday service.

Investigate the load

Map change exposure by affected team and operating period, including mandatory activities, seasonal pressures and the time needed to learn new work. Speak with supervisors and employees to understand how changes are interpreted and where previous initiatives left unresolved confusion. Distinguish resistance rooted in disagreement from a rational response to insufficient resources or contradictory priorities.

Assess proposed adoption measures. Training attendance is not evidence of competent use; a completed communication plan does not demonstrate understanding. Recommend checks using real tasks, error patterns, help requests and manager observation. Where roles materially change, identify decisions required on capability development, workload and performance expectations.

Advice that changes the plan

Provide options for sequencing, reducing scope, adding support or redesigning the transition. Each option should identify delivery consequences and the executive decision required. Help sponsors agree what work will stop or slow while teams learn new responsibilities. Develop a light operating rhythm for monitoring adoption and responding to warning signals, including a route for employees to report confusion safely.

The advisor supports planning and challenges readiness assumptions but will not direct employees or make employment decisions. Recommendations affecting roles or conditions must be considered through appropriate management and consultation processes. Implementation owners must be identifiable before any recommended intervention begins.

Assessing the advisor's judgement

Qualified candidates combine organisational change expertise with a grounded understanding of operations. They should demonstrate an assignment in which frontline evidence altered programme scope, schedule or investment. Experience across occupational groups and the ability to explain findings without blaming employees are relevant.

The engagement should leave a realistic adoption plan and clear readiness ownership. Success is a change people can perform competently within ordinary working arrangements, rather than one sustained by prolonged exceptional effort.

Before you apply — an advisory engagement

No office of director, and no appointment formalities.

An advisory engagement creates no directorship in Norway. There is no registry filing, no regulator pre-approval, no residency arithmetic and no statutory director liability — which is why it is so often the right first step into a market you do not yet know.

On this brief
Independence
Where the engagement specifies independence from any search that follows, that is a requirement of the engagement rather than a courtesy — an adviser to a board is not a candidate for it.

Advisor on Federated Enterprise Governance

Norway·Business Services & Diversified

Operating model design organisation in Norway

This appointment will advise on the division of responsibility between enterprise leadership and operating units. The mandate concerns where common direction adds value, where local knowledge should govern and how the enterprise can maintain visibility without repeatedly intervening in routine decisions. The advisor must make the resulting trade-offs explicit and operationally credible.

Advisor on Post-Acquisition Operating Integration

Norway·Business Services & Diversified

Operating model design organisation in Norway

The advisor will help leadership determine how acquired operations should connect to the wider enterprise. The work concerns operating choices: which capabilities should become common, which should remain distinct and what must be protected while leaders learn how the businesses function. Integration recommendations must follow the investment rationale and customer economics rather than a predetermined degree of consolidation.
