Agricultural commodities organisation in Belgium
The problem this seat exists to solve
Deliver an inventory economics assessment, proposed policy changes and a prioritised list of stock-specific actions for management consideration. Include common definitions and a review cadence that can be maintained internally. The adviser has no authority to dispose of stock, alter ownership records or change contractual commitments. Management and authorised specialists retain those decisions. The final report should make uncertainty visible, especially where stock condition, legal title or expected recovery value needs further verification before action can be taken.
Assess what holding stock really costs
The adviser will evaluate agricultural inventory and storage decisions across the commercial and operational cycle. The assignment examines the relationship between stock availability, quality preservation, financing cost and delivery flexibility. It should help management distinguish strategically useful inventory from balances that persist because of poor information or unresolved commercial decisions.
Review stock by location, product condition, ownership, age and intended use. Reconcile physical and financial records and identify where information is too weak to support a reliable valuation or allocation decision. Examine the contractual basis for storage and handling, including costs that emerge only when volumes, dwell times or service needs differ from expectations.
Questions to resolve
Assess how purchasing and sales commitments determine inventory requirements. Determine whether buffers reflect actual variability or historical habit. Review the effect of quality deterioration, blending constraints, handling losses and slow-moving stock on the economics of holding product. Where alternatives exist, compare them using complete costs rather than storage rates alone.
Test demand, transport and financing changes
Develop scenarios for changes in demand, transport availability and financing cost. Recommendations should show how management can adjust stock policy without undermining delivery or accepting disproportionate exposure. The adviser must recognise when a stock decision requires commercial, quality or legal input beyond the financial model.
Required physical and analytical experience
Candidates should have agricultural logistics, commodity finance, inventory planning or related advisory experience. They need practical understanding of physical stock and the ability to analyse incomplete operational data. Evidence of improving inventory decisions while maintaining service and product integrity is particularly relevant.

Before you apply — an advisory engagement
No office of director, and no appointment formalities.
An advisory engagement creates no directorship in Belgium. There is no registry filing, no regulator pre-approval, no residency arithmetic and no statutory director liability — which is why it is so often the right first step into a market you do not yet know.
- On this brief
- Independence
- Where the engagement specifies independence from any search that follows, that is a requirement of the engagement rather than a courtesy — an adviser to a board is not a candidate for it.

All seats in this market →Interim Director of Operating Integration Recovery
Belgium·Business Services & Diversified
Organisational recovery organisation in Belgium
The director will take executive responsibility for an operating integration requiring renewed direction. The mandate concerns unresolved interfaces, duplicated responsibilities and benefits that have not become normal business performance. It requires reassessing the remaining work and implementing a credible plan rather than simply reviving the original programme schedule.
Interim Technology Supplier Delivery Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium
The role carries executive responsibility for the agreed delivery plan and coordination of internal and supplier work. Contract amendments, settlement decisions and material expenditure remain with authorised officers. The engagement should conclude with accepted capability, clear support responsibilities and a documented position on outstanding work or claims. Handover must make any remaining supplier dependence visible. Success is a service the organisation can operate and govern, rather than a collection of completed supplier milestones that leaves the most important integration work unresolved.
Interim Technology Modernisation Programme Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium
Candidates should have led substantial technology-enabled change in a controlled or public-interest service environment. They need strong programme leadership, technical fluency and evidence of managing stakeholders with different objectives. Seniority should be demonstrated through the complexity of decisions handled and outcomes delivered, not simply through a prior title.
