Infrastructure finance organisation in Belgium
The problem this seat exists to solve
The interim head will lead the execution of an infrastructure refinancing within a defined executive mandate. The core requirement is disciplined coordination of finance, asset management, legal advisers and lenders so that approved commercial terms become a completed, operationally workable financing arrangement.
An execution leader with transaction experience
Applicants should have led financing or refinancing execution for infrastructure or other asset-intensive businesses, with direct responsibility for multidisciplinary coordination. Experience should include managing difficult conditions, competing stakeholder demands and post-completion implementation. Strong model literacy and familiarity with loan documentation are required, together with precise written communication.
Candidates must be comfortable operating at detail level while keeping decision-makers focused on the few matters that alter the transaction's economics or risk.
Set the critical path
Establish the transaction plan, critical dependencies and decision timetable. Confirm the quality of financial information and due-diligence materials before circulation. Identify issues that can change pricing, available proceeds, conditions or timing, and make them visible to the accountable executive early enough for a decision.
Resolve conditions and protect completion
Manage the information flow and maintain a single controlled record of open points. Coordinate responses to lender questions, reconcile requested protections with operating constraints and assess the financial effects of proposed terms. Distinguish matters that can be resolved within delegation from those requiring renewed board approval.
Pay particular attention to the period around completion: repayment of existing facilities, release and creation of security, cash movements, reserve funding, reporting obligations and continuity of banking arrangements. A transaction is not finished when documents are signed if the finance team cannot operate the resulting requirements.
The interim leader will challenge optimistic assumptions about closing readiness. They must be willing to recommend a revised sequence or escalation when unresolved conditions could jeopardise liquidity or create an unauthorised commitment. External advisers support the process; they do not replace executive ownership of the transaction.
Operational ownership after signing
The handover will include final debt records, a covenant and reporting calendar, named control owners and a documented account of residual actions. Performance will be assessed on execution quality, transparency of escalations and readiness of the ongoing finance function. Authority to accept terms, sign documents or commit funds will remain subject to explicit delegation and approval.

Before you apply — this is an executive role
An interim seat needs work authorisation. A board seat in Belgium usually does not.
This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.
- Position in Belgium
- A non-executive director attending board meetings requires no permit. An executive seat held by a non-EEA national requires a professional card or work permit depending on the structure.

Belgium·Business Services & Diversified
Organisational recovery organisation in Belgium
The director will take executive responsibility for an operating integration requiring renewed direction. The mandate concerns unresolved interfaces, duplicated responsibilities and benefits that have not become normal business performance. It requires reassessing the remaining work and implementing a credible plan rather than simply reviving the original programme schedule.
Interim Technology Supplier Delivery Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium
The role carries executive responsibility for the agreed delivery plan and coordination of internal and supplier work. Contract amendments, settlement decisions and material expenditure remain with authorised officers. The engagement should conclude with accepted capability, clear support responsibilities and a documented position on outstanding work or claims. Handover must make any remaining supplier dependence visible. Success is a service the organisation can operate and govern, rather than a collection of completed supplier milestones that leaves the most important integration work unresolved.
Interim Technology Modernisation Programme Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium
Candidates should have led substantial technology-enabled change in a controlled or public-interest service environment. They need strong programme leadership, technical fluency and evidence of managing stakeholders with different objectives. Seniority should be demonstrated through the complexity of decisions handled and outcomes delivered, not simply through a prior title.
