The problem this seat exists to solve
The director will bring governance judgement to an enterprise whose investment or innovation strategy depends on substantial partnerships. The seat requires assessing whether shared objectives are supported by clear responsibilities, decision rights and practical remedies when interests diverge. It carries collective board responsibility and does not make the director a representative negotiator for a particular partner.
Examine the proposed relationship
Challenge the strategic reason for partnering and the capabilities each party contributes. Ask whether the arrangement addresses a real constraint or merely postpones a difficult build, buy or exit decision. Review dependence on partner resources, leadership and commercial incentives.
Assess governance arrangements for budgets, changes in scope, information sharing and reserved matters. Consider how deadlock, underperformance or a change in ownership would affect the enterprise. Qualified advisers must address the actual legal rights; the board still needs to understand whether those rights can be used operationally.
Follow performance through shared accountability
Review whether partnership reporting makes responsibility visible or allows each side to attribute problems to the other. Seek evidence on the value actually created and the cost of coordination. Challenge continued support when the original rationale no longer holds, while considering the consequences of withdrawal carefully.
Qualifications for this contribution
Applicants should demonstrate senior investment, enterprise or governance experience involving consequential partnerships. They must discuss a case where governance design mattered more than the initial commercial terms. The ability to work through conflicting stakeholder interests without losing independence is essential.
Board conduct and results
The director will contribute to strategy, risk and reserved partnership decisions. Management retains negotiation and relationship execution, subject to delegation. Appointment eligibility, independence and conflicts must be established for the actual entity, particularly where candidates hold other relevant offices.
Success means the board can explain what the partnership adds, what it costs and how the enterprise retains appropriate control over its own obligations. The director should help create relationships capable of handling disagreement without paralysis, and ensure that a collaborative narrative does not obscure a dependency whose risks have never been made explicit or whose benefits are assumed rather than demonstrated.

Belgium·Business Services & Diversified
Organisational recovery organisation in Belgium
The director will take executive responsibility for an operating integration requiring renewed direction. The mandate concerns unresolved interfaces, duplicated responsibilities and benefits that have not become normal business performance. It requires reassessing the remaining work and implementing a credible plan rather than simply reviving the original programme schedule.
Interim Technology Supplier Delivery Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium
The role carries executive responsibility for the agreed delivery plan and coordination of internal and supplier work. Contract amendments, settlement decisions and material expenditure remain with authorised officers. The engagement should conclude with accepted capability, clear support responsibilities and a documented position on outstanding work or claims. Handover must make any remaining supplier dependence visible. Success is a service the organisation can operate and govern, rather than a collection of completed supplier milestones that leaves the most important integration work unresolved.
Interim Technology Modernisation Programme Director
Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Secure software delivery organisation in Belgium

They need strong programme leadership, technical fluency and evidence of managing stakeholders with different objectives.
