The problem this seat exists to solve
The director will lead technology and operating readiness for a service delivered in a regulated environment. The assignment requires coordinating product, technology, risk and operations so that launch decisions reflect evidence of dependable service and control. It does not confer authority to interpret regulatory permissions or approve activities reserved to a governing body or competent authority.
Readiness is a set of operating demonstrations
Establish what the service must prove before accepting live demand. This includes accurate processing, access controls, reconciliation where relevant, monitoring, support and incident escalation. Trace the consequences of failed or incomplete transactions and ensure that business teams can identify and resolve them.
Lead realistic testing across internal systems and external providers. Challenge test plans that cover only successful use and expected volumes. Verify that operational staff can use the procedures, understand the information and exercise the authority assigned to them. A completed control document is insufficient if the receiving team cannot perform it.
Delivery authority
Manage the approved readiness programme, direct workstream coordination and resolve dependencies within delegated limits. Present launch options with residual risks, compensating measures and the consequences of delay. Legal, compliance and sector specialists must advise on applicable requirements; their findings should be translated into specific actions and ownership.
After the launch decision
Maintain an agreed stabilisation period with clear criteria for escalation and handover. Monitor exceptions, customer impact and control performance together. Prevent the programme from declaring completion while unresolved defects have simply moved into operational queues without resources.
Candidate evidence and final accountability
Applicants should demonstrate technology delivery leadership in an environment where service reliability and formal controls are consequential. They must explain a readiness decision they challenged and show how they distinguished a tolerable limitation from an unacceptable gap. Experience coordinating independent risk or assurance functions is valuable.
The permanent service owner should inherit a supportable operating model, reliable information and a funded residual backlog. Success means the service performs within its approved scope and the organisation can recognise when it does not. The director remains accountable for delivery of the readiness programme, while launch authorisation and ongoing business responsibility stay with their designated owners.

Before you apply — this is an executive role
An interim seat needs work authorisation. A board seat in Luxembourg usually does not.
This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.
- Position in Luxembourg
- A non-executive director attending board meetings requires no permit. Executive and resident roles for non-EU nationals require a residence permit.

The director will strengthen board oversight of an enterprise investing in innovation-led activities. Board Director for Investment Decision Ethics and Conflicts
Luxembourg·Public-Interest & Regulated Services
Public-interest investment organisation in Luxembourg
The director will join a board responsible for investment or funding decisions and strengthen governance of conflicts, influence and decision integrity. The remit concerns how the enterprise protects impartial judgement while drawing on relevant expertise and relationships. It is a board appointment with collective duties, not an external ethics-review panel role.
SPV Director — Property Investment
Luxembourg·Property & Real Estate
Property investment organisation in Luxembourg
The appointment concerns a property investment vehicle with a defined purpose. A narrow purpose does not remove the need to understand its financing, contracts, cash flows and decision obligations. The director must be able to challenge transactions rather than simply sign prepared documents.
