The problem this seat exists to solve
The lead will take responsibility for the transition from a transformation programme into permanent management. The assignment ensures that delivered capabilities, unresolved work and benefit responsibilities have clear owners and practical support. It is a delivery mandate for someone who can make handover happen, not merely prepare a closure report.
Establish what is being handed over
Review accepted deliverables, operating procedures, support arrangements and outstanding defects or decisions. Confirm that receiving managers understand what they are accepting and have the resources to operate it. Distinguish residual work that can follow ordinary improvement processes from gaps that prevent a credible handover.
Secure ownership of benefits
Work with business leaders to define the actions required after implementation to realise intended benefits. Establish measures, review points and accountable owners. If the original benefit assumptions no longer hold, make that visible and obtain a decision rather than preserving an obsolete forecast for programme closure.
Coordinate knowledge transfer and early operating support. Test whether permanent teams can handle representative issues without relying on the project specialists. Temporary arrangements need clear duration, funding and an exit condition.
Relevant experience
Candidates should have programme, service transition or business-change experience with direct responsibility for handover and adoption. They need analytical discipline, facilitation and the ability to challenge incomplete acceptance politely but firmly. Evidence of sustained outcomes after a programme ended is particularly valuable; a senior technology title alone does not establish this capability.
Authority and final evidence
The lead owns the agreed handover process and coordination. Formal acceptance, investment and organisational decisions remain with authorised owners. The engagement should conclude with a transparent record of what is operational, what remains outstanding and who is responsible for each part.
Success means permanent managers can run the changed service and evaluate its benefits without the temporary programme structure. The final review should identify lessons about decision-making, readiness and delivery that can improve future work. It must not use closure to obscure unresolved commitments or imply that projected benefits have been realised merely because a system or process is now available.

Before you apply — this is an executive role
An interim seat needs work authorisation. A board seat in Luxembourg usually does not.
This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.
- Position in Luxembourg
- A non-executive director attending board meetings requires no permit. Executive and resident roles for non-EU nationals require a residence permit.

Board Director for Investment Decision Ethics and Conflicts
Luxembourg·Public-Interest & Regulated Services
Public-interest investment organisation in Luxembourg
The director will join a board responsible for investment or funding decisions and strengthen governance of conflicts, influence and decision integrity. The remit concerns how the enterprise protects impartial judgement while drawing on relevant expertise and relationships. It is a board appointment with collective duties, not an external ethics-review panel role.
SPV Director — Property Investment
Luxembourg·Property & Real Estate
Property investment organisation in Luxembourg
The appointment concerns a property investment vehicle with a defined purpose. A narrow purpose does not remove the need to understand its financing, contracts, cash flows and decision obligations. The director must be able to challenge transactions rather than simply sign prepared documents.
