Interim Clinic Network Mobilisation Director

Ghana·Healthcare & Life Sciences·Healthcare operations· Accra·Posted 23 July 2026

Applications close 10 December 2026

Healthcare operations organisation in Ghana

The problem this seat exists to solve

The mobilisation director will lead operational readiness for a network of healthcare service locations. The assignment is to ensure that a location opens only when its essential operating arrangements are usable and accountable. Readiness includes people, supplies, referral links, records and support, not simply a finished room and installed equipment.

The opening decision

Work with authorised clinical leaders to define the intended service scope at each location. Translate that scope into staffing, scheduling, stock, equipment and information requirements. Identify dependencies that could prevent reliable service even when construction or procurement is technically complete.

Four areas of delivery

Lead the coordination of recruitment and onboarding, operating procedures, supply readiness and patient-access arrangements. Each workstream needs an owner and acceptance evidence. Test handoffs through realistic scenarios, including an absent staff member, unavailable item or patient requiring escalation beyond the site's service scope.

Establish a staged opening plan where appropriate. A limited initial service may be more credible than announcing a broad offer that cannot yet be delivered consistently. Any change in clinical scope must be approved by the responsible clinical and governance authorities.

The director will coordinate early operating support and monitor problems that emerge after opening. A location should not be declared fully handed over while it depends on informal assistance from the mobilisation team to complete ordinary work.

The required leader

Candidates should have delivered healthcare service mobilisation, expansion or major operational transition. They need practical planning skills and experience coordinating facilities, people, clinical leadership and supply functions. Familiarity with constrained environments is valuable, especially where readiness depends on reliable alternatives to infrastructure that cannot be assumed.

Authority and completion

Within agreed delegations, the director owns the mobilisation plan and operational coordination. Clinical standards, professional eligibility and treatment remain under authorised clinical leadership; the role itself grants no licence to practise. Material expenditure and employment commitments require the relevant approvals.

The engagement should leave operating sites with named permanent owners, established support and transparent limitations. Handover must distinguish readiness achieved from capability still planned. Success is a service patients can actually access and staff can safely sustain, with evidence that problems identified during mobilisation have been resolved or explicitly managed.

Before you apply — this is an executive role

An interim seat needs work authorisation. A board seat in Ghana usually does not.

This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.

Position in Ghana
A non-resident director attending board meetings travels on a business visa. Executive and resident roles require a work permit and residence permit.
