Actively sourcing

A demand profile the Exchange is actively sourcing against. The sponsor is not confirmed on this board, and we say so rather than implying a signed mandate. Registering interest puts you in front of the sponsor when the brief converts.

The problem this seat exists to solve

The CFO has left mid-way through a refinancing and the sponsor needs a credible finance leader in the seat before lender diligence begins, with a permanent search running in parallel.

The remit

  • Hold the finance function through a refinancing and lender diligence
  • Rebuild the forecasting model and the covenant reporting pack
  • Assess the finance team and hand over a structured plan to the permanent CFO
  • Present to the board and to the sponsor's investment committee

What the sponsor will not compromise on

  • Prior CFO experience in a private equity-backed business
  • Refinancing or covenant-reset experience with lenders in the room
  • Availability to start within four weeks
  • Right to work in the UK, or eligibility to obtain it

Terms

Engagement
Six to nine months, four days a week, on site two days.
Compensation
GBP 1,400 – 1,900 a day, outside IR35 subject to determination.
Cross-border
This is an executive role and requires the right to work in the UK — the visa-free position that applies to non-executive directors does not apply here.

Before you apply — this is an executive role

An interim mandate needs work authorisation. A board seat in the United Kingdom usually does not.

This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.

Position in the United Kingdom
A non-executive director attending board meetings does not require a work visa; permitted business activities cover it. An executive or interim operating role requires a Skilled Worker visa or equivalent.
On this brief

Registering against a single brief is fine. Registering once against your whole profile means you are read against every mandate that opens in the markets you can actually be appointed in — statutory, interim and advisory.
