Large service organisations adopting data and AI

Partner-sourced

Sourced through a partner search firm or the sponsor's own nomination committee, and verified before listing.

The problem this seat exists to solve

A service organisation has multiple analytics and AI pilots but lacks consistent ownership, value measurement and deployment controls. The adviser will help executives decide which uses deserve investment and establish practical governance before experiments become business-critical services. You will inventory proposed and deployed use cases, linking each to a business owner, affected users, data sources and measurable purpose.

Three questions to resolve

1. Design proportionate review gates for data readiness, performance testing, human review and operational monitoring.

2. Clarify accountability across business teams, IT, security, privacy specialists and external suppliers.

3. Create a prioritisation method that compares benefits with integration cost, operating burden and failure consequences.

Leave a usable process behind

You will coach executive sponsors and prepare the implementation team to maintain a reusable governance process after the engagement. At completion: hand over decision templates, ownership arrangements and a benefits review calendar accepted by the executive sponsor.

How the engagement develops

  • First month: deliver a prioritised use-case inventory and identify deployments requiring additional review.
  • By month three: pilot governance gates on two agreed use cases and present a costed portfolio recommendation.

Advisory remit

The adviser works with the CEO or an appointed executive sponsor. Recommendations, analysis and coaching form the deliverables; management retains approval and implementation responsibility.

The initial advisory period is expected to run for three to six months, typically two to six days a month, with workshops scheduled around the agreed outputs. Start date, remuneration, travel and on-site attendance will be agreed for the appointment.

Relevant experience

The role requires technology portfolio leadership and experience translating data initiatives into operating decisions; ability to work with specialist AI and data assurance teams.

Additional useful experience includes demonstrable AI adoption governance, data stewardship design or experience addressing service accessibility and user trust.

Before you apply — an advisory engagement

No office of director, and no appointment formalities.

An advisory engagement creates no directorship in Denmark. There is no registry filing, no regulator pre-approval, no residency arithmetic and no statutory director liability — which is why it is so often the right first step into a market you do not yet know.

International candidatures are accepted.
Independence
Where the engagement specifies independence from any search that follows, that is a requirement of the engagement rather than a courtesy — an adviser to a board is not a candidate for it.
