Commodity trading organisations modernising business systems
Partner-sourced
Sourced through a partner search firm or the sponsor's own nomination committee, and verified before listing.
The problem this seat exists to solve
A commodity merchant is changing its core trading and operations systems and needs clear business requirements, effective user testing and adoption across teams. The transformation lead will connect the technology programme with the way trades are executed, controlled and settled.
Represent the business through the systems change
The executive sponsor sets the mandate and approves material changes to scope or funding. The programme director leads the agreed workstreams and delivery forum; the designated business owner accepts the completed work.
Define what the system must support
You will translate trading and operations needs into prioritised requirements with clear business owners. You will coordinate decisions on process standardisation, data quality and exception handling with technology specialists.
Prove readiness with users
1. Plan user testing around real trade scenarios, controls and end-to-end settlement outcomes.
2. Manage business readiness, training and adoption across operating teams.
3. Track operational benefits and ensure unresolved issues have owners before the programme is handed over.
Three acceptance stages
**First month.** Confirm business scope, process owners and the most consequential requirements gaps.
**By month three.** Agree acceptance criteria and launch user testing or a controlled pilot.
**At completion.** Achieve business acceptance with trained users, assigned support ownership and evidence against agreed process outcomes.
Process and delivery experience
The role requires verified commodity business process knowledge and practical experience leading systems change or a substantial workstream; ability to work with technical delivery teams.
Additional useful experience includes trading platform implementation, data migration ownership or business analysis across trading, logistics and finance.
Proposed commitment
The expected engagement is six to twelve months, normally four to five days a week, linked to delivery and acceptance milestones. Start date, remuneration, travel and on-site attendance will be agreed for the appointment.

Before you apply — this is an executive role
An interim mandate needs work authorisation. A board seat in Germany usually does not.
This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.
- Position in Germany
- A supervisory board member attending meetings does not require a residence permit. A management-board (Vorstand) appointment for a non-EU national does, and is a substantially heavier process.

- International candidatures are accepted.

Interim Chief Restructuring Officer for a Leveraged Industrial Group
Germany·Industrial Manufacturing
Manufacturing and consumer durables
A leveraged industrial group faces weakening cash conversion, an uneven plant footprint and declining lender confidence. The CRO will establish a credible liquidity position and coordinate a deliverable restructuring plan across operations, finance and shareholders.
Lender-Nominated Non-Executive Director
Germany·Industrial Manufacturing
Industrial business organisation in Germany
This seat calls for a director able to work effectively in a capital structure shaped by a debt-for-equity restructuring. Nomination by a lender does not make the director a private instruction channel; the appointment requires clear boundaries around duties, confidentiality, conflicts and information sharing, confirmed for the entity concerned.
