Living-Neural Compute Platform Recovery Leader — Biocomputing Research
Urgent / Unplanned
Living-Neural Compute Platform Recovery Leader mandate in Stockholm, Sweden · Living-Neural Computing Research
A Stockholm biocomputing institute needs a ten-month recovery leader after culture, electrode and training histories diverged, restoring reproducible living-neural experiments before partnership decisions and succession.
The mandate
An external replication review found that neural-culture batches, microelectrode-array states, stimulation protocols and software-training episodes could not be reconciled for several published learning demonstrations. The institute paused partnership claims and preserved viable cultures, but its platform head began extended medical leave. Scientists need operating authority that protects experimental continuity without prejudging the field’s disputed conceptual claims.
The interim must start within three weeks for ten months, leading experiment reconstruction, culture and device control, replication readiness, partner-evidence review and successor induction. Permanent recruitment starts after an eighty-day reproducibility baseline. Five weeks are protected for overlap; the term will not extend for therapeutic research, commercial product development or expansion into new biological models.
Handover requires every priority demonstration to resolve cell source and consent boundary, culture and passage, medium, array and electrode state, stimulation, recording, software environment, training objective, feedback, analysis, exception and claim. The successor must command unseen culture-substitution and array-channel-loss experiments and accept residual viability, proprietary-instrument and historical raw-data limitations.
The authority may halt experimental queues, quarantine datasets or public claims, require witnessed configuration, allocate scarce culture and array capacity, direct the approved SEK210 million recovery and appoint temporary control owners. Scientists retain interpretation and publication; Ethics and Biosafety retain approval; the institute board decides partnerships. The interim cannot make sentience claims, approve therapeutic work, hire permanently or exceed delegation.
Development of clinical applications, philosophical determination of consciousness and construction of a scaled commercial service are outside scope. The leader may require precise claims and ethical evidence but cannot dictate scientific conclusions or diminish care obligations for living material. Recovery is bounded to reproducible experimental execution, traceable computation and responsible partner representation within approved research.
Why this seat is open
The replication challenge exposed weak joins among biology, instrumentation and software rather than establishing that any one experiment was false. Medical leave removed the leader able to coordinate correction while living cultures and partner decisions continue. Temporary authority will restore a defensible research platform before permanent succession and renewed external claims.
What you will own
- Reconstruct priority demonstrations across source, culture, passage, medium, array, electrode, stimulation, recording, software, feedback and claim.
- Define effective biological and computational configuration while preserving variability, failed cultures and unusable channels as evidence.
- Decide which experiments, datasets and external claims may resume, require replication, need qualification or remain quarantined.
- Command exercises for culture substitution, electrode loss, changed medium, stimulation drift, software rollback and interrupted feedback.
- Establish partner and publication evidence separating observed adaptation, analytical interpretation and broader computational or cognitive claim.
- Govern recovery against reproducible demonstrations, bounded claim exposure, viable culture continuity, exception closure and raw-data retention.
- Transfer authority through unseen experiments and successor acceptance of biological variation, instrument dependence and historical evidence debt.
Candidate qualifications
- Held executive biocomputing, neuroengineering, organoid-platform or advanced life-science research operations authority across live cultures.
- Reconstructed experiments joining cell provenance, culture state, microelectrode hardware, stimulation, recordings, feedback software and analysis.
- Paused publication or partnership claims when biological and computational evidence could not support reproducible interpretation.
- Worked with research ethics and biosafety while resisting unsupported equivalence among adaptation, learning, cognition and consciousness.
- Governed scarce living material, proprietary instruments and continuously changing software under replication and investor scrutiny.
- Handed a recovered frontier-research platform to permanent leadership through adversarial culture and electrode substitutions.
Non-negotiables
- Available within three weeks for exclusive Stockholm service and hands-on oversight inside approved research facilities.
- Has governed living neural or comparably complex bio-compute experiments; conventional machine-learning operations alone are insufficient.
- No undisclosed interest in cell, organoid, electrode-array, laboratory-platform or research-partnership suppliers in scope.
- Will preserve failed experiments, ethical review and precise public claims even when correction weakens commercial interest.
- 49 words maximum. State your Stockholm availability and one living-system experiment you reconstructed across biology and software.
- 49 words maximum. How did you separate observed adaptation from a broader claim about learning or cognition?
- 49 words maximum. Which unseen culture or electrode substitution would qualify permanent leadership before handover?
