The problem this seat exists to solve
A distributor’s digital and physical channels compete for stock, customers and management attention. The programme director will align service promises, inventory allocation and operating processes so channel growth improves total network performance.
Customer and stock decisions
- Map customer journeys and fulfilment flows across stores, dealers, warehouses and digital channels.
- Define service policies and inventory ownership that reduce channel conflict and duplicated stock.
Process changes and the pilot
You will coordinate changes in ordering, returns, replenishment and performance reporting with technology and operations teams. You will pilot the new processes with selected outlets and suppliers before broader rollout.
You will train network leaders and establish ongoing ownership of service, cost and inventory measures.
Milestones for acceptance
1. First month: document the main channel conflicts and a baseline of fulfilment cost and service performance.
2. By month three: launch a controlled pilot with explicit customer and operating acceptance criteria.
3. By completion: demonstrate agreed improvements in availability, fulfilment or inventory productivity and hand over a scalable operating model.
Who can deliver this change
The role requires retail or distribution operations leadership and experience implementing cross-channel processes with technology and commercial teams.
Additional useful experience includes warehouse and store integration, dealer-enabled fulfilment or large-scale network process standardisation.
Delivery mandate
The executive sponsor sets the mandate and approves material changes to scope or funding. The programme director leads the agreed workstreams and delivery forum; the designated business owner accepts the completed work.
Working pattern
The expected engagement is six to twelve months, normally four to five days a week, linked to delivery and acceptance milestones. Start date, remuneration, travel and on-site attendance will be agreed for the appointment.

Before you apply — this is an executive role
An interim mandate needs work authorisation. A board seat in Belgium usually does not.
This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.
- Position in Belgium
- A non-executive director attending board meetings requires no permit. An executive mandate held by a non-EEA national requires a professional card or work permit depending on the structure.

- International candidatures are accepted.

Belgium·Technology & Digital Platforms
Technology-dependent industrial and service enterprises
An enterprise relies on a small number of strategic technology suppliers and needs stronger board scrutiny of their operational and cyber implications. The appointment combines commercial understanding of supplier relationships with substantive technology risk oversight and the ability to challenge specialist assurance.
Interim Chief Information Officer for Public Service Modernisation
Belgium·Public-Interest & Regulated Services
Public services and public interest organisations
A public service organisation needs to restore delivery confidence while replacing fragmented legacy platforms. The CIO will turn an overloaded technology portfolio into a sequenced programme that improves service reliability, user experience and spending discipline without disrupting essential operations.
Non-Executive Director — Technology and Cyber Risk
Belgium·Energy & Utilities
Utilities organisation in Belgium
This board seat focuses on technology dependencies in a utility environment. The director must understand that business systems and operational technology have different constraints, and that a uniform approach to upgrades or cyber controls may create service risks.
