The CIO & CTO Circle · Chief Information & Technology Officers

100 seats · admitting now

Enterprise resilience and engineering ambition. One Circle for the leaders who carry both.

Information and technology leaders increasingly meet at the same decisions: how to modernise the enterprise, build products, govern data and turn technical capability into business value. This Circle brings CIOs and CTOs together while shaping each member’s counsel around their own remit, their evidence and the next seat they want to hold.

Who is admitted

Sitting chief information officers, chief technology officers and chief digital officers; enterprise technology and engineering leaders at substantial Indian companies; and global capability centre heads with ownership of platforms, transformation or product delivery.

We work with no more than one hundred leaders in a Circle at a time. That is a limit on our capacity, not a judgement of anybody’s standing — there is no list, no ranking and no nomination.

For information and technology leaders specifically

Three things true of this room alone.

One technology story, written for the board

Infrastructure, cyber resilience, product engineering and data investment are connected to operating outcomes. Your record is built around the commercial decisions you enabled, the risks you carried and the value you delivered.

A peer group across enterprise and product

CIOs and CTOs share a Circle without losing the distinction between their roles. Your Principal develops the pursuit around your actual scope, whether that is enterprise transformation, engineering leadership, digital products or a broader operating remit.

The next seat beyond the function

The executive search, board portfolio and reference work are planned together. Where general management or a technology-focused board role is a credible next step, the experience and evidence required are identified before an approach is made.

When a seat is decided, you are read by the chief executive, the board and the risk committee. Every document built for you in this Circle is written for that reader.

The standing counsel

All twelve, for every member of every Circle.

The three above are what changes between rooms. These do not change at all — and the search, which every competitor sells as the entire product, is number two of twelve.

The fee

One rate, every Circle.

There is no separate price by function. What changes the retainer is how far the Circle looks on your behalf, and nothing else.

Questions

Are CIOs and CTOs in the same Circle?

Yes. The CIO & CTO Circle brings enterprise information and product technology leaders together. Counsel and target roles remain specific to each member’s responsibilities and intended next chapter.

Can I pursue a board role alongside an executive move?

Yes. The board portfolio and executive pursuit can run together. Your Principal assesses the relevant experience, independence and committee fit; no appointment is guaranteed.

The other Circles

What is not promisedThe Apex 100 is a retainer for counsel and representation. It is not a placement service and it guarantees no appointment, board seat or outcome. No fee is contingent on one, and no part of it is refundable on the basis that a seat did not materialise. The Charter states this as clause VI and is signed by both parties before a seat exists.
