CHRO

The CHRO Circle · Chief Human Resources Officer

100 seats · admitting now

The leader behind the leadership. A career that deserves the same deliberate succession planning.

A chief human resources officer shapes the leadership bench, the organisation and the terms on which people join and leave. Their own next chapter can receive less deliberate attention. This Circle builds a standing record of enterprise impact and a considered path toward the next people leadership, operating or governance role.

Who is admitted

Sitting chief human resources officers, chief people officers and group HR heads of substantial Indian companies; regional people leaders of multinationals; and senior HR leaders with enterprise responsibility for succession, organisation design or transformation.

We work with no more than one hundred leaders in a Circle at a time. That is a limit on our capacity, not a judgement of anybody’s standing — there is no list, no ranking and no nomination.

For chief human resources officers specifically

Three things true of this room alone.

People strategy expressed as enterprise impact

Your work is documented through the business it enabled: leadership succession, organisation effectiveness, integration and transformation. The file connects people decisions to operating outcomes rather than presenting a catalogue of HR programmes.

A confidential move for the custodian of confidence

An HR leader’s departure needs careful sequencing. Approaches, references and the transition are planned privately, with particular care for the sensitive relationships and information carried in the current role.

The path from people leadership to governance

Your Principal examines the experience that supports a broader operating remit or a board contribution. Succession, remuneration and organisation oversight become evidence in a considered portfolio, with candid advice on gaps that still need to be closed.

When a seat is decided, you are read by the chief executive and the nomination and remuneration committee. Every document built for you in this Circle is written for that reader.

The standing counsel

All twelve, for every member of every Circle.

The three above are what changes between rooms. These do not change at all — and the search, which every competitor sells as the entire product, is number two of twelve.

The fee

One rate, every Circle.

There is no separate price by function. What changes the retainer is how far the Circle looks on your behalf, and nothing else.

Questions

Is this also for chief people officers?

Yes. Chief people officers and group HR leaders with enterprise-wide responsibility are considered alongside CHROs. The substance of the remit matters more than the title.

Can the Circle support a move beyond HR?

Where your experience supports it, counsel can include a broader operating role or a governance portfolio. Your Principal will assess the evidence and the gaps honestly; no role or board appointment is promised.

The other Circles

What is not promisedThe Apex 100 is a retainer for counsel and representation. It is not a placement service and it guarantees no appointment, board seat or outcome. No fee is contingent on one, and no part of it is refundable on the basis that a seat did not materialise. The Charter states this as clause VI and is signed by both parties before a seat exists.
