The mandate

High-risk marketplace cases cross regions when investigators end shifts, but evidence summaries omit rejected hypotheses, policy ambiguity and promised customer action. Receiving teams either reopen work or follow unsafe recommendations without context. The India GCC is expanding overnight coverage, yet leaders have not defined which case decisions transfer with the clock and which policy or customer-safety judgments remain regionally accountable.

The four-month deliverable includes a global handoff protocol, case-authority model and three exercised scenario packs. Milestone one concludes a week-three loss-of-context baseline; milestone two fixes evidence and decision classes in month two; milestone three runs fraud-ring, guest-safety and account-takeover simulations in month three; milestone four delivers workforce, tooling, governance and rollout artefacts.

The client will provide redacted case histories, shift data, policy escalations, quality results, customer harm evidence and access to regional trust and legal owners. Acceptance requires three receiving teams to continue unseen cases without unnecessary restart, preserve uncertainty and escalate only at the defined boundary. Trust, legal and India GCC leaders jointly approve the protocol after observed use.

The engagement excludes adjudicating live users, rewriting marketplace policy, disciplinary decisions, production workflow implementation and staffing selections. Consultants may define evidence, authority and tool requirements but cannot suspend an account, contact a customer or decide a legal interpretation. Scenario data remains anonymised in client-controlled systems.

Every output—case envelope, hypothesis log, decision matrix, severity taxonomy, service objective and quality rubric—will be editable and taught through regional exercises. A client facilitator must run the final unseen case without consultant prompting. Later implementation or quality monitoring is separately contracted and cannot be required for acceptance of the operating design.

Why this is external work

Each region believes its own cases are unusually complex, while policy, operations and product teams define quality differently. The expanded GCC changes both timing and authority, not simply labour coverage. An independent trust operator can expose lost context and build a handoff that preserves accountable local decisions.

What you will own

• Trace representative trust cases across evidence collection, hypothesis changes, policy interpretation, customer action and regional handoff.
• Define case envelopes containing known facts, uncertainty, rejected explanations, decisions made, commitments and next triggers.
• Classify investigation, restriction, customer-safety, payment and policy decisions by portable and retained authority.
• Design follow-the-sun queues, ownership clocks, interruption paths and quality measures around customer consequence.
• Establish India leadership, specialist coverage and escalation skills for overnight high-severity trust operations.
• Exercise fraud-ring, guest-safety and account-takeover cases with incomplete evidence, changing severity and policy ambiguity.
• Deliver protocol, authority matrix, tooling requirements, quality rubric, training cases and phased rollout choices.

Candidate qualifications

• Designed global trust, fraud or safety operations for a scaled two-sided marketplace across multiple time zones.
• Built case handoffs that preserved uncertainty and investigative reasoning rather than transmitting only status and recommendation.
• Allocated account, payment, customer-safety and policy decisions across regional operations and specialist governance.
• Established India leadership for consequential trust cases while maintaining privacy, legal and local-market boundaries.
• Used adversarial simulations to expose repeated work, premature action or escalation caused by lost context.
• Delivered handoff artefacts and quality measures that regional teams operated without continuing consultant facilitation.

Non-negotiables

• Can complete two regional residencies and all four Singapore milestones inside four months.
• Will disclose marketplace, travel, payments, identity, fraud-platform and trust-outsourcing relationships.
• Brings high-severity marketplace case architecture and follow-the-sun operations; generic service management is insufficient.
• Accepts anonymised client data, no live-user authority and joint trust-legal-GCC acceptance.
