Chief Product Officer — Connected-Care Platform
Urgent / Replacement
CPO - Product mandate in Singapore, Singapore · Medical Devices
Redesign a connected-care alert product to strengthen delivery architecture and hospital configuration visibility.
The mandate
A connected-care platform routes device alerts to hospital teams through mobile and workstation applications. The role will redesign the product to reduce reliance on any single delivery route and improve visibility of how hospitals configure escalation and acknowledgement across diverse operating-system and network environments.
The company has issued interim guidance, constrained affected versions and developed a technical correction. The larger product question remains: what outcome the alert system promises across devices, networks, mobile platforms and human workflows it does not fully control. Product requirements describe message delivery, while hospitals judge whether the right clinician received, understood and acted on an alert in time.
The Chief Product Officer will own the end-to-end product and remediation strategy. The remit covers product management, clinical workflow, requirements, user experience, platform roadmap, ecosystem dependencies and lifecycle economics. Engineering, medical, quality, cyber and regulatory leaders retain their authority. The CPO must translate the event into a resilient product model rather than a narrow patch and a return to growth.
Approximately 1,100 employees and material partners sit within the wider product and delivery perimeter. This urgent replacement is on site in Singapore and reports to the Chief Executive or designated executive sponsor. The outgoing CPO has left following an agreed review and will not remain through the transition.
Why this seat is open
The former CPO’s departure followed disagreement over product boundaries and release priorities, not an allegation of misconduct. Interim leaders are managing containment. The board wants one executive to integrate clinical workflow and technical product accountability before expansion resumes.
What you will own
- Define the alert product outcome across detection, routing, delivery, acknowledgement, escalation, fallback and clinical action, including customer-controlled dependencies.
- Lead approximately 1,100 employees and partners across product, design, workflow, platform and connected delivery interfaces.
- Own product remediation with medical, quality and engineering, including affected configurations, interim guidance, correction, rollout and effectiveness evidence.
- Redesign resilience across mobile, workstation, device and local workflows so one third-party change cannot silently defeat the complete pathway.
- Establish configuration and implementation requirements for hospital roles, rosters, escalation, network, device and mobile management.
- Govern platform and external ecosystem dependencies, including operating-system changes, testing, contractual notification, monitoring and fallback.
- Reset product measures from messages sent towards timely delivery, acknowledgement, escalation completion and appropriate clinical use.
- Rationalise roadmap commitments and variants, prioritising safety, reliability and supported workflows before new feature volume.
The first 12 months
- Days 1–90: Confirm affected configurations and workflow risk, support containment and test the correction under representative mobile and hospital conditions. Map the alert pathway end to end, identify hidden dependencies and freeze roadmap work competing with remediation and resilience.
- Months 4–9: Deploy and verify the correction, implement route and acknowledgement observability and establish hospital configuration standards. Redesign the product boundary and fallback model, renegotiate critical ecosystem arrangements and restart only roadmap work supported by the new priorities.
- Months 10–12: Demonstrate sustained timely alert performance across representative configurations, effective hospital adoption and a tested third-party-change response. Publish the lifecycle roadmap, retire unsupported variants and establish successors across clinical product, platform and implementation.
What the board will measure
- Affected hospitals and configurations identified, corrected and verified through effectiveness checks.
- End-to-end alert delivery, acknowledgement and escalation performance visible by supported configuration and workflow.
- Fallback routes tested and usable when mobile, network or third-party services are unavailable.
- Product and hospital configuration requirements implemented with clear ownership and reduced unsupported variation.
- External platform changes detected and assessed before broad customer impact.
- Roadmap and investment concentrated on resilient clinical outcomes, with lower-value features and variants stopped.
The person
You are a Chief Product Officer, global product head, connected-care leader or senior clinical-software executive with 22–28 years in medical devices or health technology. You have led a product-safety or serious reliability remediation involving software and clinical workflow. You have controlled at least SGD 500 million in product revenue or investment and led at least 700 employees and partners.
You understand that notification delivery is a socio-technical system. You can work through source alarms, routing, identity, rosters, networks, devices, operating systems, acknowledgement and escalation. You have defined safe fallback and have changed product claims or boundaries when customer-controlled dependencies made the original promise unreliable.
Relevant backgrounds include monitoring, alarms, remote care, clinical workflow or connected diagnostic platforms. Consumer notification experience alone is insufficient. Traditional device leaders must show modern software-platform and service depth; software leaders must show regulated patient-safety accountability.
Singapore is the required base, with regular travel to hospitals and development centres outside the country. Candidates elsewhere may qualify with relocation and Asia-Pacific experience. The CPO must lead candidly through remediation, respect independent medical and quality authority and avoid using product language to minimise uncertainty.
Compensation and terms
The base salary range is SGD 420,000–570,000, accompanied by annual incentive and long-term participation. Measures will prioritise remediation, alert outcomes, resilience, roadmap focus and product leadership. This is a permanent urgent replacement. Relocation and substantiated forfeited awards may be considered.
Confidentiality
The client, platform, event and hospital configurations are confidential. Identifying detail will be released only after fit and the required protections are established. Candidates must not contact hospitals, platform providers or regulators to infer the organisation.
Each response must contain no more than 49 words.
