The problem this seat exists to solve
This adviser will help a healthcare provider understand gaps against its selected quality or accreditation framework. The assignment is to improve the reliability of systems and evidence, not to promise a favourable external assessment.
Review beyond the policy folder
Examine whether required practices are implemented, understood and supported by usable records. Use proportionate interviews, observation and document review with appropriate permissions. Distinguish missing documentation from a deeper process or capability problem.
Advisory responsibilities
Prioritise findings by consequence and dependency, then recommend corrective actions with accountable owners. Help teams define evidence that demonstrates implementation over time. Support internal review and readiness discussions while leaving clinical standards and approvals with the relevant clinical authorities.
The review should identify evidence that is stale, incomplete or inconsistent with observed practice. A strong readiness plan distinguishes actions needed for immediate reliability from longer-term improvements in capability. The adviser should help owners define how closure will be verified and when recurrence will be checked. Where a requirement is interpreted differently by teams, facilitate resolution through the appropriate authority rather than allowing competing versions to persist. Recommendations should simplify the evidence process where possible so staff can sustain it during normal service demand.
Candidate qualifications
Candidates should have hospital quality-system and accreditation-readiness experience, including familiarity with the selected framework once confirmed. They need the ability to explain requirements in operational terms and avoid creating unnecessary documentation. Evidence of sustained improvement after an assessment is particularly valuable.
Expected outputs
Provide a gap analysis, prioritised improvement plan and practical method for checking closure. Candidates should discuss a finding that recurred despite repeated policy revisions and explain how they identified the underlying cause. The engagement should build internal capability to maintain quality systems; an adviser’s review is neither accreditation nor a substitute for the appointed assessor’s judgement.

- Advisory engagement
Before you apply — an advisory engagement
No office of director, and no appointment formalities.
An advisory engagement creates no directorship in Thailand. There is no registry filing, no regulator pre-approval, no residency arithmetic and no statutory director liability — which is why it is so often the right first step into a market you do not yet know.
- On this brief
- Independence
- Where the engagement specifies independence from any search that follows, that is a requirement of the engagement rather than a courtesy — an adviser to a board is not a candidate for it.
