The problem this seat exists to solve

A technology organisation needs to modernise software delivery while retaining clear control of changes, access and assurance evidence. The programme director will integrate engineering improvement with security and operational acceptance so control requirements become workable delivery practices.

Agree the controls before the tooling

You will map the delivery lifecycle and identify manual handoffs, approval bottlenecks and missing assurance evidence. You will agree delivery controls with security, architecture and operations specialists before selecting implementation tools.

First month: document the delivery and assurance baseline with agreed problem statements.

Deliver and test the new approach

1. Coordinate improvements to build pipelines, environment management and release evidence.

2. Pilot the revised process on a suitable service and use feedback to refine control and delivery arrangements.

Make the change sustainable

You will develop rollout, training and ownership plans that teams can sustain after programme completion. By month three: demonstrate a pilot release process with traceable evidence and operational acceptance.

By completion: show improved delivery predictability and control completeness, with named owners for the ongoing process.

Experience and sponsor accountability

The role requires leadership of DevOps or software delivery change and experience coordinating engineering, security and operational stakeholders.

Additional useful experience includes experience in assurance-intensive organisations; any clearance or access condition must be established separately for the actual employer.

The executive sponsor sets the mandate and approves material changes to scope or funding. The programme director leads the agreed workstreams and delivery forum; the designated business owner accepts the completed work.

Programme duration

The expected engagement is six to twelve months, normally four to five days a week, linked to delivery and acceptance milestones. Start date, remuneration, travel and on-site attendance will be agreed for the appointment.

Before you apply — this is an executive role

An interim mandate needs work authorisation. A board seat in Sweden usually does not.

This is the single most common way a cross-border interim engagement falls apart after it has been agreed. The visa-free position that applies to a non-executive director attending board meetings does not extend to an executive or operating role.

Position in Sweden
A non-executive director attending board meetings requires no work permit. Executive roles for non-EU/EEA nationals require a work permit through Migrationsverket.

Nonexecutive Director for Digital Investment and Cyber Resilience

Sweden·Public-Interest & Regulated Services

Regulated services or public interest enterprises

An established service enterprise is increasing digital investment faster than its board can assess delivery and resilience risk. This director will help the board distinguish valuable transformation from poorly controlled technology spending and challenge whether management can sustain essential services during disruption.

Interim Chief Transformation Officer for Enterprise Performance

Sweden·Business Services & Diversified

Mid-market operating businesses

A business has many improvement initiatives but little visible movement in financial or operating performance. The transformation officer will turn the programme into a manageable set of priorities with named owners, realistic resources and benefits verified by finance.

Independent Non-Executive Director — Restructuring

Sweden·Consumer & Retail

Consumer manufacturing organisation in Sweden

A restructuring agreement changes obligations; it does not establish that the business has recovered. This seat brings independent scrutiny to the period when management must rebuild operating resilience, reset investment priorities and demonstrate that improved results are repeatable.
