Which hours disappeared from the service account?
Participants receive a fictional maintenance programme that performs satisfactorily against an annual hours measure. They then examine the timing of planned shutdowns and the different consequence at a site with a strong resource window. The exercise asks what the measure explains, what it leaves outside the account and how a senior sponsor should respond when a colleague challenges the preferred schedule.
The discussion uses Harleen's invented six-machine case, keeping the counterfactual energy estimate separate from contractual customer credits. Teams prepare a revised approval account that includes the operating, commercial and specialist responsibilities without pretending that a better calendar removes weather uncertainty or the need for maintenance.
The session is designed for leadership judgement. It does not prescribe a safe maintenance method or assess an actual turbine. Organisers would agree synthetic material and involve the relevant operating owners. The intended output is a concise description of the decision the service measure supports, the differences it cannot settle and the route by which those differences should reach approval before a commercial promise is made.
