The mandate

The problem is not visibility alone: teams see delayed orders but lack shared priorities and authority to resolve inventory, production or transport exceptions. Existing dashboards have added alerts without improving response.

The output is an exception baseline, event dictionary, target decision model, data and technology specification, carrier integration pattern, pilot results and scaled rollout case.

Milestone one arrives 31 October 2026 with baseline and event taxonomy; milestone two on 15 January 2027 with target workflows and working prototype; milestone three on 31 March with an eight-week regional pilot, validated benefits and rollout blueprint.

Acceptance requires source reconciliation above ninety-eight percent, response owners for twenty priority events, pilot reduction of aged critical exceptions by twenty-five percent, no service deterioration and finance-validated benefits. The steering team judges completion.

The client supplies order, inventory, production and transport feeds, carrier contracts, operational owners and a secure prototype environment. One region, two factories and four carriers participate throughout the pilot.

Why this is external work

Functions agree on visibility but not on whose decision should prevail when trade-offs arise. A neutral design team can create cross-functional authority and test it before platform procurement. The specialist integration and pilot capacity is finite.

What you will own

• Quantify exception age, recurrence, root cause and service effect for milestone one.
• Define an event dictionary reconciled across commercial and operational systems.
• Design priority, decision rights, escalation and closure evidence for each event.
• Specify minimum data, carrier and workflow integration for the prototype.
• Build and operate the eight-week regional pilot with client owners.
• Validate service, inventory, cost and exception-age results.
• Deliver the milestone-three rollout blueprint and platform requirements.

Candidate qualifications

• 18–22 years in supply-chain operations, logistics technology or control-tower transformation.
• Direct design and pilot experience for a multi-enterprise control tower.
• Evidence of improving exception resolution rather than only dashboard visibility.
• Knowledge of order, inventory, production, transport and carrier data.
• Experience quantifying benefits across service, working capital and cost.
• Ability to facilitate decision-right conflicts among senior functions.

Non-negotiables

• No control-tower software resale or platform-selection commission.
• Named director present throughout the eight-week regional pilot.
• Benefits must be reconciled by client finance before acceptance.
• Carrier and customer data stays in approved client environments.
