A new semiconductor facility needs a twelve-month readiness programme for ultra-pure water, gases, chemicals, power and environmental systems before tool installation and qualification through stable production start.

The mandate

The defined problem is that construction completion metrics do not prove utilities can support sensitive process tools safely and repeatedly. Commissioning evidence, operating ownership and contingency readiness are fragmented by package.

The fixed engagement window runs from 16 September 2026 through 15 September 2027. Across those twelve months, the deliverable is an integrated readiness system: system boundaries, commissioning matrix, purity and capacity tests, alarm and interlock verification, contingency scenarios, operator certification and tool-install release dossiers.

Milestone one is due 15 December 2026 with the readiness baseline; milestone two on 15 March 2027 with commissioned primary systems; milestone three on 15 June 2027 with integrated stress tests; milestone four on 15 September 2027 with certified operators and accepted handover dossiers.

Acceptance by the Facilities Readiness Board requires every critical system to pass approved capacity, quality, safety and recovery tests, all category-one defects closed, operating procedures exercised and tool owners signing interface conditions.

The client provides design packages, contractors, commissioning resources, test instruments, EHS authority and tool demand profiles. Construction and operations nominate one accountable owner per system with decision availability daily.

Why this is external work

Package contractors prove their own equipment, while the client must prove an integrated fab utility environment. The project needs experienced readiness governance through a twelve-month pre-production window. External leadership supplies cross-system challenge without replacing statutory or operating accountabilities.

What you will own

  • Define critical system boundaries, interface conditions and milestone-one evidence gaps.
  • Build the commissioning matrix from component checks through integrated performance.
  • Witness purity, capacity, stability, alarm and interlock tests.
  • Resolve interface defects across utilities, controls, facilities and tool demands.
  • Design and execute loss-of-power, supply interruption and contamination scenarios.
  • Certify operator response and dossier completeness.
  • Obtain tool-owner and board acceptance for milestone-four handover.

Candidate qualifications

  • 22–28 years in semiconductor facilities, fab operations or high-purity utility engineering.
  • Direct readiness leadership for at least one greenfield wafer-fabrication facility.
  • Expertise in ultra-pure water, gases, chemicals, power and environmental control.
  • Experience integrating contractor commissioning with operational qualification.
  • Evidence of running utility recovery and contamination scenarios.
  • Strong EHS and process-tool interface judgement.

Non-negotiables

  • Full-time onsite Hyderabad presence during critical commissioning windows across the twelve-month engagement.
  • No contractor certification substituted for client acceptance tests.
  • Category-one defects closed before tool-interface release.
  • Director holds no statutory EHS or plant operating authority.
