Nuclear-Grade Valve Package Recovery Authority
Urgent / Unplanned
Nuclear-Grade Valve Package Recovery Authority mandate in Warsaw, Poland · Nuclear Newbuild Equipment Supply
A nuclear newbuild needs a twenty-four-month executive after a valve supplier entered insolvency with partly manufactured equipment, disputed custody and incomplete quality records across critical system packages.
The mandate
The valve-package director left after a key manufacturer entered insolvency with 312 lots spread across raw forgings, machining, assembly, testing and storage. Title, physical custody and payment status disagree; quality records sit in supplier systems; dedicated fixtures may be sold; and site schedules assume delivery dates that predate any credible recovery route. The project needs one executive to recover usable equipment and re-source what cannot be saved without allowing construction urgency to dilute nuclear quality.
The leader must mobilise in Warsaw within two weeks for a fixed twenty-four-month term. The first 30 days will secure the lot population, records, tooling and decision rights with the insolvency and project teams. By month four, every lot must have an authorised recover, complete, transfer or replace route. Alternate manufacture and recovered supply then move through factory and site gates; the final eight weeks induct the permanent equipment director through live package decisions.
Handover is accepted when all 312 lots have identity, safety and quality classification, design and purchase reference, material and process history, custody, condition, missing evidence, approved recovery route, supplier, test, transport and site need date; critical tooling and records have controlled owners; and delivered packages support two consecutive construction milestones. The successor receives disputed claims, technical holds, alternate-source qualifications, factory constraints and the full installation sequence.
The interim may secure company-owned assets and records, stop unsupported shipment, prioritise approved lots, reallocate project recovery resources, commission permitted preservation or completion work and approve package recovery spend up to PLN 180 million. Engineering retains design and equivalence; Nuclear Quality retains classification, supplier and release decisions; counsel owns insolvency and title opinions; Procurement owns awards; the project chief executive approves system resequencing or spend above delegation.
Valve design change, nuclear safety determination, quality concession, insolvency litigation, commercial claim settlement, construction installation and long-term supplier strategy are outside scope. The leader cannot convert sunk cost or physical possession into technical acceptability. Recovered components must follow their authorised evidence path, while replacements must show how qualification, manufacture, test and site dates protect the system rather than a procurement milestone alone.
Why this seat is open
Supplier insolvency exposed a package function that had monitored invoices and promised dates without controlling physical and quality evidence. The previous director left when title and completion assumptions collapsed. A long interim window is required because alternate nuclear manufacture and testing extend beyond one construction year, and permanent succession should inherit packages already proven through site need.
What you will own
- Reconcile 312 valve lots across specification, classification, material, process, payment, title, location, condition and site need.
- Secure recoverable records, tooling, work-in-process and finished equipment through authorised insolvency and custody routes.
- Assign each lot an approved recover, complete, transfer or replace path with evidence owner and latest action date.
- Sequence alternate forging, machining, assembly, test and transport against nuclear qualification and construction milestones.
- Stop shipments or site promises that lack identity, quality history, preservation, authorised release or install readiness.
- Govern weekly package recovery across engineering, Quality, counsel, suppliers, procurement, logistics and construction controls.
- Induct the successor through live factory decisions, disputed assets, source qualifications and the complete system sequence.
Candidate qualifications
- Held executive nuclear-equipment, quality-sensitive procurement or package-delivery authority on a reactor newbuild or major refurbishment.
- Has recovered partly manufactured nuclear components and records after supplier insolvency, acquisition or abrupt facility closure.
- Understands valve forgings, machining, welding, assembly, testing, quality records, preservation and site sequence operationally.
- Can command commercial recovery while preserving Engineering, Nuclear Quality, counsel and licensee authority.
- Has qualified alternate equipment routes without presenting purchase-order placement as credible system delivery.
- Completed permanent handover after recovered and replacement packages passed factory gates and supported construction milestones.
Non-negotiables
- Available in Warsaw within two weeks and able to sustain approximately 55% factory, test and site travel.
- Brings direct nuclear component-package recovery; general supplier insolvency or valve sales experience alone is insufficient.
- Accepts Engineering, Nuclear Quality, counsel, Procurement, licensee and project-chief-executive decision boundaries.
- Will disclose interests involving the insolvent supplier, administrators, valve makers, forges, laboratories and project contractors.
- 49 words maximum. Describe nuclear work-in-process you recovered after custody and quality records diverged.
- 49 words maximum. Confirm your Warsaw start date and the largest nuclear equipment package you commanded.
- 49 words maximum. Which missing record should force replacement even when a finished valve is physically available?
