Digital-Olfaction Evidence Recovery Authority — Food Integrity

Urgent / Unplanned

Digital-Olfaction Evidence Recovery Authority mandate in Bengaluru, India · Food Authenticity and Integrity

An Indian food-integrity laboratory needs a nine-month recovery authority after sensor, reference and sample histories diverged, restoring defensible digital-olfaction decisions before network expansion and succession.

The mandate

A review of disputed spice and oil samples found that sensor-array cartridges, conditioning cycles, reference libraries, laboratory environment and classification models did not always resolve to the same effective test state. Chemists contained the affected reports, but the digital-sensing executive resigned. The network needs accountable recovery while authorised food scientists determine whether confirmatory analysis or customer correction is required.

The interim must arrive within two weeks for nine months, leading test reconstruction, sensor and model release control, one high-volume intake season and successor induction. Permanent recruitment begins after a seventy-day reference baseline. Five weeks are protected for overlap; the assignment will not extend for general laboratory consolidation, new commodity entry or sensor-hardware development.

Handover requires every priority result to resolve sample and custody, preparation, headspace conditions, cartridge and sensor history, calibration, reference library, feature treatment, model and threshold, confidence, analyst review and report. The successor must command unseen cartridge-drift and reference-contamination exercises, then accept residual sensor-ageing, sample-history and supplier-library limitations.

The authority may quarantine reports, suspend cartridges or models, require confirmatory chemistry, set release gates, direct the approved ₹44 crore recovery and appoint temporary control leads. Food scientists and Quality retain analytical conclusions; authorised officials decide safety and regulatory action; clients own commercial disposition. The interim cannot certify food, change statutory methods, hire permanently or exceed spending delegation.

Development of consumer smell products, wholesale replacement of analytical instruments and reconstruction of samples without current decision consequence are outside scope. The leader may demand transparent classification evidence but cannot present a sensor pattern as chemical identification or food-safety judgement. Recovery is bounded to repeatable sensing, valid reference use and accountable expert review.

Why this seat is open

The disputed sample set exposed a fleet-control problem beneath otherwise competent laboratory practice, then the incumbent’s resignation removed cross-disciplinary authority. Individual chemists can retest material but cannot repair sensor, software and reference governance across sites. Temporary leadership will establish the operating baseline before permanent recruitment and further network expansion.

What you will own

  • Reconstruct affected tests across custody, preparation, environment, cartridge, sensor response, calibration, reference, model, review and report.
  • Define effective identity and suitability for sensor arrays, consumables, conditioning cycles, reference libraries and commodity-specific models.
  • Decide which devices and classifications may resume, require qualification, need confirmatory chemistry or remain quarantined.
  • Command exercises for sensor poisoning, cartridge ageing, reference contamination, humidity shift, sample carryover and model rollback.
  • Establish correction evidence preserving the original pattern and report while exposing the confirmed cause and revised disposition.
  • Govern recovery against bounded report exposure, reproducible tests, confirmatory rates, sensor drift and unresolved sample exceptions.
  • Transfer command through high-volume intake and successor acceptance of ageing, reference and supplier dependency debt.

Candidate qualifications

  • Held executive digital-olfaction, chemical-sensing, analytical-instrument or food-integrity platform authority across operating laboratories.
  • Reconstructed classifications across sample custody, preparation, sensor arrays, calibration, environmental conditions, reference libraries and models.
  • Suspended sensor outputs when drift, contamination or domain mismatch made a confident classification scientifically unsupported.
  • Worked with analytical chemists, sensory experts, Quality and food-safety officials without equating pattern recognition with chemical proof.
  • Governed consumable lots, ageing devices and proprietary reference libraries through seasonal volume and supplier correction.
  • Handed a recovered sensing service to permanent leadership through adversarial cartridge and reference-material exercises.

Non-negotiables

  • Available within two weeks for exclusive Bengaluru service and frequent work inside controlled food-testing laboratories.
  • Has governed production chemical-sensor evidence; consumer fragrance, generic IoT or model-development experience alone is insufficient.
  • No undisclosed interest in sensor, cartridge, reference-material, instrument or food-testing suppliers inside the review.
  • Will preserve confirmatory science and original reports even where correction delays customer or market decisions.
  1. 49 words maximum. State your Bengaluru availability and one sensor classification you quarantined after reference or cartridge drift.
  2. 49 words maximum. How did you distinguish an olfactory pattern match from a defensible chemical conclusion?
  3. 49 words maximum. Which unseen reference-contamination event would qualify permanent leadership before handover?
