Semiconductor-Equipment Spares Recovery Leader

Semiconductor-Equipment Spares Recovery Leader mandate in Eindhoven, Netherlands · Semiconductor Equipment Services
A wafer-fab equipment company needs executive recovery after bonded-stock errors, export holds and engineer-part mismatches extended customer tool downtime despite high global spares availability metrics.
The mandate
Global availability exceeds target, yet customer tools remain down while parts sit in the wrong bonded entity, await export determination, mismatch tool configuration or travel separately from qualified field engineers and return instructions. The 4PL closes delivery at fab gate although parts are rejected or unused. The service-logistics executive departed after three strategic customers challenged restoration evidence. The interim assumes logistics authority while engineers, export-control and customers retain technical and legal decisions.
The appointment starts within two weeks and runs twelve months through two fab ramps, year-end trade controls and a permanent search beginning in month four. The first twenty days secure highest-value down-tool cases, reconcile bonded and configuration states, and stop gate-delivery closure. Months two through seven rebuild diagnosis-to-part, export, courier, fab acceptance, engineer and repair-loop orchestration. The final phase proves regional recovery through simultaneous fab, trade and hub disruptions before handover.
Handover is complete when the permanent leader has chaired ten customer-restoration reviews, sampled cases reconcile fault hypothesis through tool return to service, bonded inventory and ownership match, unused parts enter an accountable return, and four regions can recover from loss of their principal hub. The successor inherits tool and part archetypes, export dependencies, 4PL and courier cures, engineer constraints, strategic-customer risks, repair capacity and a ninety-day plan.
The interim may prioritise eligible parts and 4PL capacity, reposition stock within approved trade routes, suspend unsupported shipment closure, change forward-stock policies, approve emergency courier spend and require provider cure. Technical diagnosis, configuration approval, export classification and licence, customer tool release, permanent appointments, warehouse ownership change or spend above EUR10 million requires engineers, trade officers, customers, executives or council approval. No uptime target may bypass legal controls.
Equipment design, field engineering methods, export-policy interpretation, customer production priority and replacement of enterprise platforms are outside scope. Recovery cannot improve availability by counting restricted or configuration-incompatible stock, stop the clock at fab gate, ship before engineer readiness or abandon unused-part returns. The remit is lawful, configuration-aware service logistics joined to confirmed restoration and deliberately transferred to permanent leadership.
Why this seat is open
The company optimised global inventory while customer restoration depends on a precise part, legal entity, engineer and fab window converging. Leadership loss exposed the gap between supply measures and tool uptime. The company needs a semiconductor service operator who can arbitrate global logistics quickly without making diagnosis, export or customer production decisions.
What you will own
- Reconcile fault request, part identity, configuration, ownership, bonded state, export clearance, shipment, fab acceptance, engineer use and return.
- Decide eligible inventory, forward-stock and 4PL capacity allocation within delegation against verified down-tool consequence.
- Reset service states separating global stock, legally movable stock, configuration-fit stock, dispatched part and engineer-ready supply.
- Establish provider evidence for custody, shock and condition, customs, fab access, failed delivery, unused part and repair return.
- Close customer cures through sampled tool journeys, bonded counts, engineer confirmation and attributable restoration evidence.
- Exercise export hold, hub loss, courier miss, fab-access denial, wrong configuration and concurrent strategic-customer failures.
- Induct the permanent leader and transfer customer risks, trade dependencies, provider cures and open inventory decisions.
Candidate qualifications
- Has held executive service-logistics authority for semiconductor equipment or similarly configuration-sensitive capital assets globally.
- Can evidence customer-uptime recovery after global stock availability obscured legal, technical or engineer readiness.
- Understands forward spares, bonded custody, export control, critical courier, fab access, field engineers, cores and repairs.
- Has allocated urgent logistics capacity while preserving engineering diagnosis, trade-control and customer tool authority.
- Can distinguish recorded stock, legally movable stock, configuration-fit part, fab-accepted delivery and restored equipment.
- Has handed a recovered 4PL service network to permanent leadership after regional hub and trade-disruption exercises.
Non-negotiables
- Can work in Eindhoven three days weekly and complete monthly residencies across major fab regions.
- Will not diagnose tools, approve configurations, determine export control, release equipment or override fab access.
- Brings direct global semiconductor-equipment service logistics; generic spare-parts planning or 4PL sales alone is insufficient.
- Will preserve held, rejected, incompatible, unused, return-pending and engineer-unavailable parts in availability reporting.
- 49 words maximum. Which global spares-availability state most seriously overstated recoverable semiconductor tool service?
- 49 words maximum. How did you align part, export clearance, fab access and engineer readiness under urgency?
- 49 words maximum. Confirm your Eindhoven availability and largest customer-support logistics perimeter.
