It operates extrusion, coating, metallising, printing and lamination assets, serves multinational and domestic customers, and is investing in recyclable structures and higher-value applications.
Market hint: A north India headquarters, central and western manufacturing footprint, export customers and capabilities across films and converted packaging may suggest several listed producers. Product capacities and customers are omitted.
Board mandate
The appointee will integrate food-contact safety, customer qualification, resin economics, process safety, circularity and major-capital return.
Strategic priorities
- Govern product design through barrier, seal, migration, ink, adhesive, odour, machinability, shelf life and end-use safety.
- Establish change control for resin, additive, ink, adhesive, process, supplier and recycled-content changes that may affect customer qualification.
- Track complaints, contamination, delamination, print error, migration, seal failure and line rejection by lot, process and customer.
- Set critical controls for solvents, static, combustible vapour, fire, cylinders, hot surfaces, rotating equipment and contractor work.
- Integrate polymer, foil, ink, solvent, energy, currency and freight exposure with pricing, inventory and hedging.
- Challenge recyclable, mono-material, compostable, biodegradable and recycled-content claims against collection, sorting, reprocessing and food-contact reality.
- Stage-gate film, coating and converting capex through customer qualification, mix, yield, ramp, utilisation, obsolescence and downside cash.
- Review export and customer concentration, rebates, claims, inventory, payment, formula pricing and dedicated capacity.
- Govern extended-producer, waste, scrap, solvent recovery, emissions and chain-of-custody obligations.
- Build technical succession in polymer science, printing, product safety, applications and process safety.
Decisions expected at Board level
- Whether to ship after a migration, odour or seal anomaly remains under investigation.
- Whether recyclable packaging claims are supportable in the customer’s actual market.
- Whether customer-dedicated capacity earns acceptable risk-adjusted return.
- Whether resin inventory and hedges match physical and contractual exposure.
- Whether a high-speed line should ramp before process capability stabilises.

Essential: Former flexible packaging, polymers, chemicals, food packaging, printing or process-manufacturing CEO/COO/CTO/CFO, quality leader or Board director; food-contact/product stewardship, commodity economics, capex and process safety.
Preferred: circular packaging, multinational customer qualification, solvent safety, trade/export, Audit/Risk Committee experience.

- Controlled product-change and food-contact assurance.
