What remains when the campaign's orders settle
The opening order total can arrive before a promotion's returns and service costs. This session follows a fictional retail cohort from SGD8.4 million of orders to SGD7.2 million net sales and SGD800,000 contribution before central expenses. Participants examine the boundary of the account, including product recovery and costs that mature after the initial response. The purpose is to improve a repeat-campaign decision without treating every provisional result as unusable.
We discuss what an early dashboard should show, which unresolved customer choices matter and how commercial and service teams contribute to the review. A return is considered as part of the customer experience, not simply a deduction finance wants to minimise. The session ends with questions for deciding when a follow-up test is justified and what it should measure. This is a proposed professional topic using fictional figures. Attendees should bring generalised commercial questions rather than customer records or confidential campaign data, and no particular accounting conclusion is prescribed for another retailer.
