Practise explaining the choice and the evidence together

01

What commitment is the institutional total being asked to represent?

Fifty-minute executive commercial workshop · CEOs, commercial leaders, buyers and finance colleagues

This proposed workshop examines an ₹8.4 crore institutional request book containing ₹2.1 crore of cancellable reservations and a ₹6.3 crore firm portion. Participants consider how the same total can describe interest while being an incomplete basis for a purchasing decision. The case retains Mira's approval responsibility and ₹46 lakh freight and markdown remediation, without inventing a revenue restatement or loss of every reservation. Participants prepare a concise account that preserves the conditions relevant to the resource choice. The intended learning is to make uncertainty available to the decision-maker rather than hide it inside an attractive aggregate. Qualified owners retain actual contract and accounting judgements. All arrangements are fictional. A final discussion examines why acknowledging uncertainty is compatible with a deliberate commercial commitment and why a clearer report alone does not establish a measured financial benefit. The session is proposed learning material, not an actual booking or advice on a real institutional transaction.

A title found is a distinct outcome from a book sold

Forty-five-minute retail capability case · Retail executives, catalogue teams and shop leaders

Participants examine a six-language pilot involving 600 titles, nine shops and twenty-four weeks of work funded at ₹1.2 crore. In 120 matched title-search tasks, correct finds rose from forty-three to eighty-nine. The exercise distinguishes those forty-six additional successful tasks from a sales percentage, unique-reader count or educational outcome. Participants discuss why available stock can still be difficult to discover and how a CEO can resource that capability without overstating the evidence. The intended learning is to align the claim with the question actually observed. The before-and-after comparison is not presented as controlled causal proof, and language specialists retain responsibility for the catalogue work. All examples are invented. A closing exercise asks what further evidence would support the next commercial decision. The proposed session neither certifies a translation system nor promises an improvement in literacy, and it represents no record of an actual external engagement or independently verified retail result.

Give the public programme an honest funding proposition

Fifty-minute purpose and resource discussion · Boards, enterprise leaders and programme owners

This illustrative session examines twenty-four free events at twelve shops, recording 960 attendances. Associated direct book gross contribution of ₹7.6 lakh sits beside ₹32 lakh direct programme expense, leaving a ₹24.4 lakh gap before shop costs. Participants distinguish attendance from unique people, association from causal sales and an approved following-year ₹25 lakh budget from recovery of earlier expenditure. The intended learning is to explain a purpose-led activity as an explicit resource choice when the evidence does not establish self-financing. Participants prepare a proposal that retains cost, scope and review expectations without treating the programme as unlimited. All figures are fictional, and the exercise claims no lasting educational outcome. A closing discussion considers which evidence would help assess the programme on its actual terms. The session offers a way to frame collective judgement rather than a universal funding rule, investment recommendation or record of an event Mira has already delivered.

The CEO has to make regional authority believable

Fifty-minute executive delegation workshop · Chief executives, regional leaders and people teams

Participants review two groups of 180 routine commercial decisions. In the first, 140 reached the CEO; in the later comparison, forty-two did after ₹38 lakh of training and authority clarification. The exercise examines the leader's own habits alongside the boundaries and capability colleagues need. Participants distinguish changed routing from demonstrated speed, quality or compliance, and operating delegation from statutory responsibility. The intended learning is to make authority usable without treating fewer escalations as a complete success measure. Board-approved boundaries remain in place, and the case does not offer a substitute for an enterprise's actual governance arrangements. All decisions and figures are invented. A final discussion asks which further evidence would reveal the quality and consequences of regional judgement. The proposed workshop represents no actual booking and promises no universal organisational improvement. It helps leaders examine whether the behaviour they reward supports the authority they say other colleagues should exercise.

Short speaker biography

Mira Velqesmi is a fictional Shillong-based CEO with thirty-six years in distribution and bookselling. Her proposed sessions examine commercial commitments, language discovery, public-programme funding and usable regional authority. She holds one executive directorship at an invented regional bookseller. The examples retain decisions she owned and represent no actual speaking engagements, educational outcomes or verified external recognition.

Standard speaker biography

Mira Velqesmi is an invented Indian CEO and executive director of Zemqurvi Books & Reading, a regional business with twenty-one shops and institutional supply. Raised and based in Shillong, she began in distribution accounts in 1990, then moved through institutional sales, buying and commercial leadership. Seven executives report to her in a 620-person enterprise. Her cases examine the conditions behind requests, multilingual discovery, nonexclusive ordering, honest event funding and the CEO's part in delegation. She holds no personal shares and has one statutory executive seat. Fictional IICA registration is complete, with assessment unfinished. Proposed workshops use invented evidence and do not represent actual bookings or advice on real transactions.

Extended speaker biography

Mira Velqesmi is a fictional Indian chief executive based in Shillong. After completing commerce in May 1990, she joined Delqevni Distribution as an accounts assistant. Institutional sales management followed in 1996. She moved to Zemqurvi Books & Reading as buying head in September 2004, became commercial director in April 2012 and took the CEO and executive-director roles in January 2019. The invented enterprise operates twenty-one regional bookshops across Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura and West Bengal, alongside institutional book supply. It employs 620 people. Seven executives report to Mira, with enterprise P&L responsibility and material capital subject to board approval. Nandita Zhevqosi is the separate chair and Rohan Temqevri the CFO. Her thirty-six-year career is illustrated through an institutional planning mistake, language-discovery work, nonexclusive family ordering, public-event funding and regional delegation. The stories preserve the distinction between observed outcomes and benefits that were not measured. She has no personal shares and one executive directorship. Fictional IICA registration was completed in May 2026, with assessment unfinished. Proposed sessions are demonstration material rather than actual engagements. A commissioned profile would require verified evidence, publication permissions and careful treatment of institutional, publisher and reader information before any real examples appeared publicly.
