Chief Operating Officer China
Writing to me about boards, plants or a talk
A van built in a rush comes back as a warranty claim, so I plan our plants for the whole year rather than for the weeks when parcel carriers want everything at once.
If you chair a nomination committee or work for a search firm and have a listed manufacturer outside vehicles in mind, I would like to hear from you. Before we speak I screen for conflicts, so an opening note should say which plants the company runs, which board committees you have in mind, how often the board meets, and whether the company trades with or lends to Tanzhou, its state-owned shareholder or Kuanhe Express. Plant directors and fellow operating chiefs are welcome to write too, especially if you are wrestling with seasonal build plans, the way suppliers report escapes or high-voltage work on a battery line; a visit to our Changsha yard can usually be arranged. I also speak, in Mandarin or English, to audiences in operations, supply chains and workplace safety.
Some subjects stay off the table: Tanzhou's numbers before publication, our prices and order book, and the names of suppliers involved in any quality event. Requests to buy vans should go to our sales team, and executive approaches are not something I am open to. Messages reach me directly; expect a reply within ten days.
