What technology dependency needs a clearer discussion

If your board is examining a technology dependency that is difficult to describe in service terms, I would welcome an outline of the question. For example, directors may need to understand what a recovery exercise proves or how responsibility is assigned across a supplier relationship. Please describe the business activity, ownership and proposed board duties, with an indication of the expected time commitment. An initial discussion does not require patient records, security credentials or detailed system diagrams. We can first establish whether the opportunity overlaps with my employer's interests and whether the preparation and time involved are realistic. My contribution would be to board discussion and oversight, rather than a promise to implement a system or conduct a clinical assessment. A specific account of the decision facing directors will help us judge fit more usefully than a general invitation to provide digital expertise.
