Chief Information Officer China
Three kinds of message I am glad to receive
A medicine distributor's systems are tested in two places: the hospital counter where a pack is scanned, and the moment a patient's data is asked to travel.
I find three sorts of approach worth answering. The first comes from a company looking for an independent director with technology and data judgement: tell me the business, the listing venue, which committees you have in mind and how often they meet, and whether the company buys from or sells to Shuheng, our controlling shareholder's group, or any manufacturer or hospital we serve. I need those facts to clear conflicts and to ask my own company's permission before a first meeting. The second comes from hospital information directors, pharmacy operators and other distributors working on code verification, interface standards or patient-data design; I am glad to compare methods and failures. The third is an invitation to speak on those subjects.
Some subjects stay off the table: Shuheng's results before publication, any security incident beyond our disclosures, and every patient's or customer's records. Software and hardware vendors should use our procurement channel rather than this page. I answer each serious message myself, generally inside seven days.
