The newest script belonged to another cut
The upload was recent and the filename looked familiar. Our workflow selected it for the next recording session. Anjali Qezmethi asked which picture cut the script belonged to and who had approved that relationship. I had supported a convenient latest-file rule without requiring that answer. The system was doing what we had told it to do; the instruction was inadequate for the work the language team had to deliver.
I am Seema Qelzathi, fictional CIO of Dazqeni Language Services in Bhubaneswar. Our 190 employees coordinate dubbing, subtitles and accessibility captions for commissioned business films and documentaries, with ₹74 crore FY 26 service fees. My 25 technology colleagues work through three leads within ₹4.8 crore FY 2026–27 expense and a separate ₹1.9 crore change programme. Language professionals and appropriate client owners decide the content. I make our enterprise systems carry those decisions and their context reliably.
My career began in business applications in 1998. Moving into language services taught me that a field can be technically complete while leaving its professional meaning unresolved. A track labelled captions may contain dialogue without the relevant sound information. Text can survive storage and still display inadequately in a delivery environment. Three language versions can belong to one commission without creating three copies of its fee. These are enterprise information questions that require the people who understand the work, not just the people who maintain the application.
Approval linked to the intended picture cut
Of 120 reviewed jobs, 104 had an agreed script-to-cut relationship and 16 did not. Ten were reconciled; six remained held. The ₹79 lakh programme produced 114 ready relationships in that cohort, without treating a recent upload as professional or customer approval.
A service label supported by the actual track
Among eighty films marked as having captions, sixteen initially met the agreed full-caption service review and sixty-four had dialogue-only tracks. A ₹44 lakh programme completed suitable captions for forty-eight more, leaving sixty-four accepted and sixteen pending. That bounded result was not a declaration of universal accessibility compliance.
One commission retained one contractual fee
Eighty commissions each carried three language versions. A reporting join repeated their combined ₹11.4 crore contracted fee value into a misleading ₹34.2 crore total. The ₹52 lakh correction preserved 240 version records while restoring the commission-level amount; it did not create revenue, savings or a change to the underlying agreements.
Current focus
Making approved versions, language delivery, accessibility-service meaning and management measures explicit inside the enterprise's information systems.
