Day-100 Finance Integration Director mandate in Shanghai, China
Confidential Day-100 Finance Integration Director in Shanghai, China, reporting to the Transaction Finance Lead. Consulting Finance & Accounting appointment at Director level, a 7-month mandate horizon; four days a week.
The mandate
This seven-month project will deliver the finance integration outcomes required by Day 100 following a confidential transaction. No participant, scale, sector, consideration, timing signal or strategic rationale is disclosed. The director must convert approved integration choices into operating finance outcomes while preserving continuity, control and transparent residual dependency.
Month one establishes the Day-100 outcome ledger and baseline. Months two and three align process ownership, reporting, close, controls, data and service priorities. Months four and five execute and rehearse the selected changes. Month six covers Day-100 validation; month seven transfers remaining work into permanent transformation and controllership ownership.
Seven milestone artifacts determine acceptance: outcome-and-dependency ledger, integrated decision architecture, close-and-reporting convergence pack, process-and-service transition pack, control-and-data readiness evidence, Day-100 validation, and residual-work handover. Activity or meeting completion is insufficient. Each milestone requires observable operating result, authorised choice, owner and evidence.
Management provides approved integration decisions, authorised data and access to finance owners. The consulting director coordinates delivery, manages dependencies and may recommend withholding milestone acceptance. The role cannot make accounting, tax, legal or people conclusions, communicate externally, select individuals, grant access or authorise financial entries.
The Transaction Finance Lead accepts the final milestone after Day-100 outcomes are evidenced and unfinished work has explicit cost, risk, owner and next decision. Longer-term optimisation, new process scope and operation of residual temporary services are excluded. The project must finish with permanent leaders in command rather than an extended consulting office.
What you will own
- Define Day-100 finance outcomes with baseline, owner, dependency, operating evidence and consequence of non-delivery.
- Establish integrated decisions across close, reporting, process ownership, services, controls, data and finance capability.
- Sequence convergence so early uniformity does not disrupt control, local obligation or critical operating knowledge.
- Coordinate selected process and service changes through readiness, rehearsal, acceptance and stabilisation.
- Track synergy or value claims separately from activity, including transition cost, retained work and duplicate-claim controls.
- Require authorised accounting, tax, legal and people decisions without taking their formal ownership.
- Validate Day-100 results through live operating and close evidence rather than status assertion.
- Hand residual transformation, temporary services and unresolved choices to permanent owners with transparent disposition.
Candidate qualifications
- Demonstrate finance integration leadership from early operating control through Day-100 outcomes.
- Show a convergence decision you re-sequenced to protect control, local obligation or specialist knowledge.
- Provide an example of replacing activity reporting with observable finance outcome evidence.
- Bring breadth across close, reporting, process, service, controls, data and finance talent integration.
- Evidence disciplined separation of delivery coordination from reserved accounting, legal, tax and people authority.
- Describe how transition cost and retained work changed a claimed integration benefit.
- Show a final handover that ended consulting dependence while leaving residual work visible.
Working terms and boundaries
- Seven milestones over seven months at four days a week cover baseline through Day-100 validation and handover.
- The Transaction Finance Lead accepts artifacts against authorised decisions, observable outcomes, owner accountability and traceability.
- Management supplies approved choices, authorised data, participants and reserved-owner responses on schedule.
- Accounting, tax, legal and people conclusions, external communication, access and entry authority are excluded.
- Added process scope or extended temporary-service operation requires a separate written agreement.
