Infrastructure and Cyber Engineering Head — Logistics Bridge

The mandate

The infrastructure and cyber-engineering head owns service priorities and technical operating decisions across identity, external digital exposure and recovery priorities. Enterprise risk acceptance, logistics operations and customer commitments retain their existing executive owners.

The nine-month term begins on 19 October 2026 in Bengaluru, with planned India service and operations workshops and remote global delivery reviews. A permanent functional technology head is recruited concurrently, with the successor taking part in final service and assurance cycles. Extension is possible only under a written decision identifying remaining transfer conditions and the delegated service perimeter.

Handover requires a service-dependency register, controlled access exception route and recovery evidence that supports the assurance commitments given to customers. Two operating cycles must show timely resolution of engineering risks and a clear distinction between verified capability and planned improvement. The successor must lead a service review and receive unresolved identity, infrastructure and customer-assurance issues with owners and decision histories.

The head may prioritise approved engineering work, set technical operating standards and approve routine service changes within existing delegation. Enterprise risk acceptance, material logistics-service interruption, permanent restructuring and spend above ₹25 lakh outside plan require authorised approval. Security or architecture recommendations cannot independently change customer commitments, operational maritime decisions or statutory compliance conclusions.

The bridge excludes commercial shipping leadership, fleet systems certification and a full enterprise cloud procurement programme. It covers infrastructure, identity and cyber-engineering judgement supporting reliable logistics information services. The leader should connect technical evidence to service and customer consequences, coach engineering managers and leave a repeatable operating process rather than a temporary expert personally resolving every difficult ticket.

What you will own

• Approve engineering priorities against logistics service dependencies, distinguishing critical access or recovery risks from technical backlog items whose immediate operational consequence is limited.
• Resolve identity and infrastructure exception reviews within delegation, requiring expiry, compensating evidence and escalation where customer or enterprise risk exceeds functional engineering authority.
• Set a service reliability and recovery register connecting observed capability, configuration dependencies and customer assurance statements before new commitments are presented as verified.
• Direct global delivery reviews that assign evidence owners and decisions for recurring service issues rather than repeating status across time zones without accountable action.
• Challenge external digital-risk findings for relevance and response priority, keeping enterprise risk acceptance and material customer communication with authorised security and business leaders.
• Transfer the engineering operating cycle through a successor-led service review, including reproducible evidence and ownership of unresolved access, infrastructure and customer-assurance conditions.

Candidate qualifications

• Demonstrate twenty-two or more years in technology with actual engineering-head, infrastructure-director or equivalent functional leadership in logistics, maritime, healthcare or related service environments. Present a reliability or access decision you personally held, the service consequence and the realised outcome. Identify the engineering priority you approved, the enterprise-risk or customer decision retained elsewhere and the witnessed service evidence that supported the final reliability or access conclusion.
• Show practical expertise in infrastructure, identity, virtualised or cloud service architecture and cyber-risk interfaces. Provide a case where an access or configuration dependency invalidated a service assurance claim, and explain the corrective decision and evidence. Professional technical training supports but does not replace demonstrated engineering judgement.
• Bring global service delivery and customer-assurance experience, including the translation of technical limitations into credible executive reviews. Describe how you handled recurring incidents or digital-risk findings, prioritised action and preserved customer communication authority. The appointment does not presume maritime operations or enterprise compliance certification competence.
• Prove leadership of engineering managers across teams and locations with a successful successor or service transfer. Explain how another leader reproduced the review, understood approval limits and took ownership of unresolved technical risks. Current obligations must allow five-day bridge coverage, regular Bengaluru presence and the agreed India workshop cadence without an unlimited global availability promise.
