Put the financial measure beside the decision it serves

01

Where the project account stops

Proposed 50-minute case discussion · Finance leaders, commercial heads and managers of reusable asset businesses

Participants examine a fictional hire assignment whose initial direct cash account omits the return movement of the asset. The discussion begins with the apparently attractive surplus and asks what the label permits a reader to conclude. Adding the missing cost is only the first step: the revised amount still excludes depreciation, financing, central overhead and tax. The group then considers the customer relationship. An internal modelling error does not create a right to charge an unagreed fee. The exercise asks participants to explain the correction to management while retaining the commercial terms and identifying what future decisions should learn from it. The intended output is a short, clearly bounded financial account and an account of the responsibility accepted by the presenter. It is not transport instruction, accounting certification or a verified event case study. Real delivery would require authorised examples and the relevant professional context. This is a proposed session format, without a claim of previous appearances or measured participant outcomes.

02

The commitments inside the balance

Proposed 60-minute board-paper workshop · CFOs, treasury leaders, enterprise executives and prospective directors

This proposed workshop places a fleet order beside a selected forward cash schedule. Participants see the balance before and after scheduled customer deposit returns, then argue the case for the original order and for a smaller commitment. The commercial opportunity must remain visible: buying fewer sections may mean turning away work. The funding account must also retain the customer obligations represented in its assumptions. The exercise asks the group to prepare a board recommendation that states both costs of the choice, the remaining allowance and the conditions that might justify reconsideration. It distinguishes internal planning from assertions about legal segregation and keeps deposit receipts separate from a simplistic claim of revenue. The output is a reasoned recommendation, not a universal liquidity rule or financial advice for a real enterprise. Any actual session would need the appropriate contractual and reporting specialists for its circumstances. The example is fictional, and no delivered workshop or client endorsement is implied by this proposed format.

03

Two denominators in one investment discussion

Proposed 45-minute interactive review · Asset managers, finance teams, operating leaders and board-learning groups

A hundred-section cohort gives this proposed session its starting point: eighty-four hired, twelve awaiting refurbishment and four ready but idle. Participants calculate both ready-fleet and owned-cohort utilisation, then identify the decision each measure can support. The discussion deliberately avoids declaring one function's percentage dishonest. Instead it asks how a board can retain the operating view while examining the capital outside the ready group. A proposed refurbishment programme introduces technical assessment, funding authority and the difference between an approved response and a demonstrated result. The intended output is a concise explanation that reconciles the measures and identifies the work still requiring attention. The exercise does not extrapolate the cohort across an entire fleet or certify asset condition. It is a fictional teaching proposal rather than a record of a completed speaking engagement. For actual delivery, organisers would need to agree suitable examples, permissions and the professional boundaries of the audience discussion before using any company information.

04

When the longer rental period is optional

Proposed 55-minute commercial-finance roundtable · Commercial directors, finance leaders and capital-allocation teams

This proposed roundtable examines a special configuration offered against an eighteen-month hire scenario with a permitted customer break after six months. Participants separate the minimum commitment, the possible continuation and the upfront fitout expenditure. They then consider a narrower reusable scope with a defined customer contribution and an initial company balance. The commercial case for accepting uncertainty must be argued, rather than dismissed because the longer period is not certain. Equally, the recommendation must not describe that period as already contracted. The session's output is an account of what the company funds, what the customer has committed and which outcome remains a scenario. Actual contract interpretation, reporting and tax treatment stay with appropriately qualified professionals. The figures are invented for discussion and do not constitute investment advice or a promise of eventual profitability. This proposed format carries no claim of prior delivery, verified audience results or endorsement by a real customer. Organisers should establish permissions and scope before adapting any real case.

Short speaker biography

Sonam Deqzomri is a fictional Siliguri-based CFO in modular workplace hire. His illustrative work connects recurring asset use, customer cash commitments and investment decisions. The profile includes an owned return-transport omission and its correction. He has no statutory board seat, and the speaking formats shown are proposals rather than verified appearances.

Standard speaker biography

Sonam Deqzomri is the fictional CFO of Raqzomthi Modular Estates, a Siliguri-based enterprise owning and hiring modular workplaces. He leads twenty-three finance employees through four leads in a 168-person company with ₹72 crore FY2026 revenue. His illustrative decisions address return costs omitted from a project account, scheduled customer deposits, utilisation denominators and investment in reusable sections. The account retains the commercial opportunities forgone and the limits of each reported result. He has no statutory directorship, has not yet registered in the IICA databank and claims no assessment pass or exemption. These proposed speaking sessions illustrate possible formats; they are not evidence of real events, clients or delivered outcomes.

Extended speaker biography

Sonam Deqzomri is a fictional finance leader whose career connects equipment services with the recurring use of modular workplaces. Raised in Gangtok and based in Siliguri, he completed a commerce degree in May 1993 and began work that July. His five continuous appointments progress from accounts assistant and management accountant to financial controller, functional director of finance and CFO. The earlier director title did not confer a statutory board seat, and the profile claims no professional accounting designation. He now reports to CEO Meera Qerzavthi at the invented Raqzomthi Modular Estates, leading twenty-three finance employees through four leads. The company employs 168 people, records ₹72 crore FY2026 revenue and owns 1,400 sections with ₹86 crore net carrying amount. That carrying amount is not presented as market value or borrowing capacity. His illustrative cases include an owned return-transport omission, a deposit-adjusted fleet order, two valid utilisation measures and a more reusable fitout funded without assuming an optional rental period. The proposed talks use these decisions to examine the boundaries of financial measures and the obligations that continue beyond a customer's current use. Sonam has no statutory directorship and unfinished databank preparation. All identities, enterprises and speaking proposals are fictional; no actual event delivery, client relationship or professional credential is implied.
