In 2019 our latest inspection updates overwrote earlier descriptions for thirty-nine lots in a 240-lot catalogue. I had approved the design because it kept the screen current. It did not keep the earlier invitation available. We reconstructed twenty-seven prior editions from retained evidence; twelve could not be recovered. Commercial owners reoffered nine of those lots with fresh invitations and withdrew three. The gap was mine to explain, even though correcting a commercial offer was not mine to authorise.
I am Rohan Qevmarsi, fictional CIO of Nerqavzi Salvage Exchange in Rajahmundry. Raised in Mumbai, I began in systems services in 1996 and joined this regional auction agency in 2010. I lead thirty-two IT colleagues through four leads. Our ₹92 crore annual revenue is distinct from ₹1,120 crore of auction transaction value: a distinction that matters when describing both the business and my remit. I work with Maya, our CEO, and Arun, our COO, on the digital conditions in which commercial decisions are made.
An auction can be technically available while its invitation, bidder identity or restart decision remains unclear. A contact change may introduce a different legal entity. A restored server may resume a clock that commercial owners have decided to stop. A new bank detail may arrive without an authorised settlement decision. My work is to make those distinctions visible and usable without pretending that IT owns the underlying commercial, treasury or professional judgement.
Twelve missing catalogue editions stayed visible in the account
The ₹42 lakh repair preserved the twenty-seven reconstructions and the twelve unrecoverable versions separately. Nine fresh offers and three withdrawals were commercial decisions; we did not invent an earlier description to make the catalogue appear complete.
A recovered platform did not automatically restart the auction
After a twenty-seven-minute interruption affecting forty-eight lots, commercial owners paused and reoffered the lots the next day. ₹14 lakh buyer-fee credits and ₹63 lakh recovery work remained explicit costs of the response.
A changed bank field did not release seller funds
A twenty-four-request review separated nineteen confirmed changes from five held for further work. The ₹54 lakh workflow programme kept treasury approval distinct from IT's ability to update and display a record.
Current focus
I am making retention holds understandable to the people operating our systems. In a seventy-four-file review, nineteen files remained under a qualified hold while fifty-five moved to policy review. The ₹28 lakh controls preserve that distinction; they do not establish a universal retention period or allow IT to release a hold because storage housekeeping is overdue.
Conversations I welcome
I welcome CIO, advisory and speaking discussions about transaction-sensitive service systems. I am exploring a first company-board contribution, with eighteen days provisionally available. I registered in the IICA databank in February 2026, have not completed the proficiency assessment and claim no exemption. My executive presentations and former functional director title are not statutory board service.
