Sheet 08 · Speaking & conversations

Conversations about the choices a service asks households to make

01

Designing the days between two household addresses

Proposed 45-minute product-journey workshop · Connectivity product teams, service-design leaders and commercial sponsors

I would give participants a fictional moving request and ask them to describe the household’s sequence before choosing the date fields. The 2023 research and pilot would support a comparison between seven-day overlap and same-day change, without being presented as completed installations. We would name the additional work created by the second path and the operating conditions that still need confirmation. The session would use invented material and ask for no customer addresses or protected network details. It is a proposed workshop with no delivered-event claim. Participants would practise writing a product choice that is understandable to the household and precise about what remains subject to fulfilment. A closing exercise would separate the selected journey from the evidence needed to say it was delivered, so that an encouraging response to the offer does not become a broader service claim. I would leave technical and contractual commitments with the people responsible for assessing them in the actual service setting.

02

The reset I approved and the choices it removed

Proposed 40-minute executive learning discussion · Product managers, migration sponsors and design-review groups

I would start with my approval of the invented 2004 reset logic rather than introduce the case as a problem discovered somewhere in the process. Participants would examine the 120 tested profiles, the thirty-eight customised favourites affected and the challenge that changed the brief. The later fifty-four-profile check would keep five unresolved mappings in the discussion. The session would not request actual subscriber preferences or confidential release material. It has not been delivered and carries no client or event credit. The intended exercise is to distinguish the formal package transition from the user effort built around it, then describe a proportionate preservation and exception approach. We would also examine what a sponsor must change when their earlier approval has made an assumption appear settled. The final discussion would ask how the corrected decision should be reported without erasing either the original responsibility or the work the revision has not yet completed for every relevant profile.

03

One household account can contain different viewing intentions

Proposed 35-minute household-product seminar · Media product leaders, account-experience designers and service owners

I would use the sixty-household fictional review to examine why twenty-two requests for individual viewing profiles and thirty-eight preferences for shared use deserve distinct treatment. The discussion would separate the person administering a bill from the people using a viewing experience. It would not prescribe privacy rules or imply that a product option itself supplies the required specialist assessment. Participants would work with invented household descriptions and disclose no real viewing histories. This is a proposed seminar with no previous appearance claimed. Its purpose would be to identify which choices belong in the proposition and which responsibilities the product team must resolve with other functions. A final exercise would ask each group to explain both shared and individual paths without portraying either as the universal modern household. We would keep the expense and development decision separate from any claim about adoption, audience engagement or legal compliance that the sample evidence does not establish.

04

Before the upgrade, establish which experience needs to change

Proposed 50-minute product and service roundtable · Connectivity executives, service-assessment leads and customer-journey teams

I would bring the 125-household needs review into a discussion about the implied reasoning inside an upgrade journey. Eighty households described a tier-change interest and forty-five a weak-room experience; neither count diagnoses a technical cause. Participants would compare a direct tier route with a separate coverage-assessment path and name the added explanation and operating work. The material is fictional, with no real household or network records requested. The roundtable is proposed rather than previously delivered. I would ask groups to state what each route can establish, what it cannot and which specialist responsibility it needs to reach. The aim is to keep a commercial choice connected to the question the customer actually asked. A closing review would test whether the proposed copy accidentally promises better room performance merely by presenting a higher tier, then replace that implication with a more accurate account of the choice and the remaining assessment.

Short speaker biography

Shinji Suginobe is an invented Japanese connectivity CPO whose product work follows household changes after the initial purchase. He leads 164 colleagues at fictional Hoshinora Communications. His proposed sessions examine moving periods, preserved preferences and the distinction between a connection tier and a room-specific need. He holds no statutory board seat, and the sample asserts no delivered speaking engagement.

Standard speaker biography

Shinji Suginobe is the fictional CPO of Tokyo-based Hoshinora Communications, with 164 colleagues, seven direct reports and JPY 2.9 billion 2026 function expense. His thirty-seven-year career connects broadcasting product analysis with household connectivity and media portfolios. The narrative includes a reset he approved that erased customised favourites, followed by preservation work whose unresolved mappings remain visible. He has presented to the executive board since July 2020 but holds no statutory directorship. His proposed sessions explore the continuing household proposition through moves, profiles, pauses and room-level questions. The speaking material is invented and undelivered, with technical, contractual and privacy responsibilities kept separate from the product choices the examples support.

Extended speaker biography

Shinji Suginobe is an invented Japanese product executive based in Tokyo. As CPO of fictional Hoshinora Communications, he leads 164 colleagues through seven direct reports with JPY 2.9 billion 2026 function expense. Company revenue of JPY 348 billion for calendar-year 2025 and 6200 employees provide institutional context without implying personal network-investment authority.

He completed information design at Kiyosane Institute in March 1989 and began product analysis at Tsumihana Broadcasting the following month. Media product management followed in 1997. He joined Hoshinora as product director in 2005, became household portfolio vice-president in 2013 and took the CPO role in July 2020. His cases examine moving overlap, personal preferences during package changes, optional viewing profiles, add-on pauses and the difference between a tier enquiry and a weak-room experience.

The account retains his approval of reset logic that he subsequently reversed, including five mappings still requiring review after revision. Suginobe has no statutory directorship and describes executive presentations separately from a possible first appointment. His proposed talks use fictional evidence and claim no actual delivery or publication. Participants would examine product choices without disclosing household records or treating a workshop as technical, contractual or privacy advice. Any actual engagement would require verified experience, agreed material and the clearance relevant to current responsibilities.

I would discuss household subscription design, product transitions or a possible first-board contribution where the question fits this experience. Outside work would require employer agreement and a review of the relevant commercial relationships. The examples are fictional and do not recommend a connectivity package, interpret a customer contract or certify service performance.
