May 2021 — Present
Chief Information Officer
Taqzovri Reuse Estates
- Sector
- Recovery and resale of non-structural commercial fit-out materials
- Ownership
- Founder vehicle 46%; employee vehicle 24%; private investor 30%; no personal equity
- Company scale
- ₹68 crore FY ending March 2026: ₹44 crore resale and ₹24 crore recovery services
- Employees
- 214 at March 2026; contractors separate
- Geography
- Durgapur base and three fictional regional recovery yards
- Reporting to
- CEO Arun Zeqomvri
- Team
- Twenty-five technology colleagues through three leads
- Financial scope
- ₹5.6 crore FY2026–27 technology operating expense; separate ₹2.8 crore approved programme
Mandate
Preserve our information and commercial responsibilities around a recovered item's identity, availability and description.
Outcomes
- Connected competing reservation claims with a commercial allocation owner.
- Funded new catalogue photography while retaining thirteen withheld image sets.
- Included unresolved stock movements in a recovery exercise's acceptance account.
- Declined automatic publication after an automated-writing pilot exceeded its approved facts.
Decisions in context
The CIO appointment brought twenty-five colleagues through three leads and an enterprise-wide technology remit. The company's ₹68 crore revenue and 214 employees describe its scale; my operating expense and separately approved programme are distinct responsibilities. I report to Arun and work with Mina's materials function, which retains the appropriate physical assessment owners. The recent cases examine different points at which a system result could become an unsupported commercial conclusion. A shared record does not settle a customer allocation, and restored availability does not reconcile every stock movement. My current position includes neither a personal shareholding nor a statutory directorship. A prospective outside role would require preparation and relationship review beyond this executive account. The contribution I want to develop is an ability to question what an information result permits the enterprise to promise, while preserving the responsibility of the people qualified to establish the underlying fact.
Reason for the move
Current role; considering a first board contribution after preparation and fit assessment.
Jan 2016 — Apr 2021
Head of Systems
Taqzovri Reuse Estates
- Sector
- Regional commercial fit-out material recovery
- Ownership
- Private regional enterprise
- Company scale
- ₹49 crore FY ending March 2017
- Employees
- 171 in FY2017
- Geography
- Regional recovery and resale operations
- Reporting to
- Then Chief Executive Officer
- Team
- Sixteen technology colleagues
- Financial scope
- ₹3.2 crore annual technology expense
Mandate
Lead the enterprise systems supporting material records and commercial work.
Outcomes
- Approved the catalogue grouping later challenged by materials colleagues.
- Funded separation and correction after twenty-seven of ninety-six selected lot records showed relevant differences.
- Retained physical assessment outside the authority of the catalogue application.
Decisions in context
I led sixteen colleagues with ₹3.2 crore annual technology expense in a 171-person company. Its ₹49 crore FY2017 revenue was enterprise context, not my own spending authority. The catalogue correction belongs at the centre of this period because I had approved the grouping that created the misleading implication. Mina's challenge made me examine the physical meaning of a convenient digital category. The ₹28 lakh response required more individual record preparation and a less compact display, without claiming a measured commercial or environmental benefit. I learned to bring the business and materials owners into the representation decision before treating the application design as settled. The later CIO role extended that perspective across reservation, publication and recovery questions. It did not remove my accountability for the earlier assumption or convert technology leadership into authority to certify recovered materials.
Reason for the move
Promoted to CIO with broader responsibility for enterprise technology decisions.
Sept 2010 — Dec 2015
Enterprise Applications Manager
Taqzovri Reuse Estates
- Sector
- Commercial interior-material reuse services
- Ownership
- Private enterprise
- Company scale
- ₹35 crore FY ending March 2011
- Employees
- 126 in FY2011
- Geography
- Durgapur-led regional work
- Reporting to
- Systems director
- Team
- Nine colleagues
- Financial scope
- ₹1.4 crore annual technology expense
Mandate
Connect applications with the particular physical and commercial records of recovered materials.
Outcomes
- Learned how item histories and condition differed from standard new-product assumptions.
- Connected information requests with the business owners responsible for their meaning.
- Built enterprise application experience before leading the systems function.
Decisions in context
The move to Taqzovri brought a physical-commercial setting that was different from a general systems supplier. I managed nine colleagues under the systems director with ₹1.4 crore annual expense. The company employed 126 people and recorded ₹35 crore FY2011 revenue. A recovered item could resemble another while carrying a different history or condition, and the application needed to support that distinction. I began learning how the materials team described those differences and how commercial colleagues used the account in an offer. My responsibility was to make the record usable, not to substitute a software convention for a qualified assessment. That lesson was not complete when I later approved the catalogue grouping. The promotion brought greater authority and a corresponding obligation to question whether the simpler representation I favoured still preserved the meaning the enterprise needed.
Reason for the move
Promoted to head of systems as the enterprise's technology responsibilities expanded.
Jun 2003 — Aug 2010
Integration Lead
Qerzavmi Commercial Systems
- Sector
- Commercial applications and systems integration
- Ownership
- Private regional company
- Company scale
- ₹23 crore FY ending March 2004
- Employees
- 103 in FY2004
- Geography
- Regional enterprise assignments
- Reporting to
- Delivery manager
- Team
- Six colleagues
- Financial scope
- ₹64 lakh annual function expense
Mandate
Lead integration work while keeping business interpretation with its responsible owner.
Outcomes
- Connected interface requirements with the decision the receiving record would support.
- Managed a small delivery team and its function expense.
- Developed experience beyond technical movement of fields.
Decisions in context
Leading six colleagues changed my responsibility from completing assigned application work to explaining the team's delivery and its limits. The function expense was ₹64 lakh annually within a 103-person enterprise recording ₹23 crore FY2004 revenue. A field could transfer faithfully while the receiving user understood a different commercial meaning from it. I learned to ask the business owner to describe the decision before treating an interface convention as sufficient. This did not mean every integration needed a lengthy strategic exercise; it meant the relevant ambiguity had to be resolved by someone entitled to resolve it. After seven years I wanted to remain with the consequences of a system beyond its initial delivery. Joining Taqzovri provided that continuing enterprise context and exposed me to the particular information responsibilities around recovered physical items.
Reason for the move
Joined a material-reuse enterprise to take continuing responsibility for its applications.
Jul 1997 — May 2003
Applications Analyst
Qerzavmi Commercial Systems
- Sector
- Commercial application support
- Ownership
- Private enterprise
- Company scale
- ₹11 crore FY ending March 1998
- Employees
- Sixty-one in FY1998
- Geography
- Regional commercial clients
- Reporting to
- Applications manager
- Team
- Individual contributor
- Financial scope
- No delegated spending authority or direct reports
Mandate
Support supervised application work and learn how commercial users interpreted records.
Outcomes
- Prepared and checked assigned application records.
- Learned to distinguish successful data movement from a user's understanding of its meaning.
- Developed a foundation for later integration leadership.
Decisions in context
I began in July 1997 after completing the full-time computing degree that May. Qerzavmi employed sixty-one people and recorded ₹11 crore FY1998 revenue. Under an applications manager I worked as an individual contributor, without spending authority or a team reporting to me. The supervised work made successful transfer and validation visible, but users sometimes still needed an explanation of what the receiving record meant. I learned to ask that question rather than assume that a technical success message completed the communication. The role did not include enterprise technology strategy or responsibility for a client's commercial decisions. Nearly six years of application work gave me the foundation for leading integration colleagues. The chronology should retain that practical and limited starting remit instead of allowing the current CIO title to imply authority I did not hold in the earlier appointment.
Reason for the move
Promoted to lead a small integration team after building application-delivery experience.
What I am looking for next
I would like to explore a first board contribution where enterprise information shapes a physical or commercial undertaking. My experience concerns the relationship between a record, its authorised meaning and the promise made from it. The catalogue correction and later cases provide questions I could bring to oversight, but they do not make me a materials specialist or an appointed director. I have not yet registered in the IICA databank or completed the proficiency assessment, and claim no exemption. A genuine appointment requires its own preparation, eligibility, independence and relationship review. Twenty days is a provisional annual capacity estimate that must include induction, reading, travel and exceptional demands alongside the executive role. I would seek a chair willing to give feedback on the transition from implementing technology decisions to contributing to collective judgement. The opportunity should need the specific perspective shown here, rather than assume that any CIO can supply every form of digital, technical or commercial expertise a board may wish to acquire.
