If you are considering me for a first board appointment, please begin with the product or service question the board needs to address. I would welcome a description of the customer model, ownership, proposed committee role and expected time commitment. It is also useful to identify any relationship with Orevathi before we exchange detailed material. I have provisionally reserved twenty-two days a year, subject to employer consent and a careful conflict review. An introductory discussion does not require source code, client records or confidential contract schedules. A concise explanation of the business decision and the role you expect a director to play will help us judge fit. I would particularly value a conversation about how the company intends to maintain its promises as it grows, rather than a request to provide occasional technical reassurance without a defined board responsibility.
