Ask what the assurance has actually established

My contribution to a board

I would help a board examine the meaning attached to a technology result. A nearby partner ranking, a readable attachment, a restricted view or a restored application can each be useful without answering every question in the service decision around it. My contribution would be to ask what management has demonstrated, which assumptions remain and who holds the next responsibility. I have had to revise a recommendation rule I approved, so I would not approach the discussion as though technical clarity always provides the most complete account. Operating colleagues, finance, legal advisers and other specialists may identify the condition that changes the question. I have presented technology matters as an executive but have not served as a statutory director. My passed proficiency assessment is preparation, not a substitute for learning another enterprise or exercising collective judgement. I would bring practical scrutiny of assurance alongside a willingness to understand the business beyond the systems I know.

The seat I am pursuing

I would consider a service-network board seeking a technology perspective on significant promises, information relationships or continuity. Risk or technology committee participation may be appropriate after the relevant review and induction;I make no immediate chair claim. The board should have complementary operating, financial and legal knowledge and expect me to learn its enterprise rather than simply explain technical vocabulary. I would value a setting in which management can report a useful result with its limits and directors can examine those limits without treating every unfinished condition as a reason to suppress the account. The role should involve constructive scrutiny of the commercial ambition as well as its dependencies. I am seeking a first opportunity to improve collective decisions, with preparation, consent and a realistic understanding of the responsibilities still ahead.

Judgement in practice

01

Require a recommendation to name the decision it actually supports

The sixty-scenario partner review began with forty-nine supported rankings and eleven needing further work. Eight were resolved through a₹47 lakh programme, and three remained for operating judgement. I would ask directors whether management has defined the real decision a significant recommendation supports and involved its responsible owners in acceptance. The distance calculation had been transparent;its insufficiency concerned the question we expected it to answer. The final fifty-seven supported scenarios did not prove faster live response, partner availability or a safe route. A board can examine those limits without choosing a mapping method or directing an assignment. It should understand how unresolved conditions reach the people able to act, and whether an investment paper has allowed a useful technical measure to carry an assurance broader than its evidence.

02

Connect partner access with purpose rather than familiarity

The selected ninety-case access review found twenty-two overbroad location-history views. Twenty were corrected and two held outside partner access while review continued, within a₹54 lakh programme. I would ask a board whether management can explain what information a counterparty needs for its actual task and who has assessed that purpose. A convenient historic view is not self-justifying because colleagues have become accustomed to it. The result also does not establish universal privacy compliance or prove how the earlier view was used. Directors should see the scope examined, the held cases and the professional ownership of the wider review. That gives oversight a meaningful account without asking directors to inspect private vehicle histories or personally determine every access entitlement.

03

Read component recovery and functional recovery as separate evidence

A four-hour application restoration left the telephone and working route unproven. The₹62 lakh programme then examined twenty-eight controlled calls:twenty-two completed the defined workflow and six required manual fallback. I would help directors ask which essential work has actually been exercised and how management understands the remaining dependencies. The six fallback cases should not disappear into a broad pass label, and the four-hour figure should retain its narrower meaning. This is a question about the enterprise's assurance and resources, not an invitation for a board to run technical recovery. I would also ask whether supplier responsibilities join into a supported service account or merely produce several individually favourable reports whose combined meaning nobody has tested.

My first year on a board

I would begin induction with the service and revenue model, then examine the enterprise's material technology dependencies through arrangements agreed with the chair. I would listen to operating and financial colleagues before assuming that a familiar system term describes a familiar business condition. A selected investment or recovery paper could provide a useful way to understand how management establishes acceptance, records exceptions and follows through on the next decision. I would study the relevant committee mandate and develop knowledge beyond my own function, including financial obligations and the actual contractual setting. The first-year review should consider whether my questions made a material decision clearer and whether I respected the executive team's responsibilities. I would not create a separate technology-approval channel through a board appointment. The calendar must allow preparation and learning as well as attendance, so that a technically relevant background becomes an informed contribution to collective judgement.

Conflicts and their management

Before receiving confidential board material, I would examine relationships involving Veqmethi's ownership vehicles, fleet clients, workshop partners and technology providers. Employer consent and the practical consequences of recurring conflicts would need attention. Qualified advisers should assess the Companies Act's independence conditions, any applicable SEBI LODR requirements, committee eligibility and limits on appointments for the proposed company. I hold no statutory directorship today, but that does not settle the review. My twenty-eight provisional days must accommodate induction, papers, travel, meetings and unexpected demands. Private vehicle locations, partner arrangements and system credentials from my current role would not become resources for another enterprise. A disclosure may still leave a role unworkable if it repeatedly excludes me from central discussions. I would decline an appointment whose relationship constraints or calendar prevented an effective contribution, even where its technology subject matter initially appeared closely aligned with my experience.

My independence statement

Connections through Veqmethi's founders, investor, employee vehicle, workshop partners, fleet clients and technology suppliers require review. Neither my absence of a personal holding nor my assessment result establishes independence for a particular company.
