An opened model is not a completed acceptance decision
A software upgrade can preserve access while changing the conditions behind a professional result. Acceptance needs the people who can interpret those differences.

The file opened, but the answer had changed
I had approved the software upgrade after our ordinary checks showed that the practice's files opened successfully. Sonal asked a different question: did the agreed engineering benchmarks still behave as expected? Of 120 cases, ninety met the predefined comparison criteria, eighteen involved changed defaults and twelve needed further explanation. I had mistaken application continuity for continuity of the professional work it supported.
I am Madhavi Qorzeli, fictional CIO of Jezqavi Building Advisory in Surat. We are an independent engineering advisory consultancy, with 510 employees and ₹ 194 crore FY26 revenue. We are neither a property developer nor a construction contractor. My thirty-nine technology colleagues work through four leads within ₹ 8.6 crore FY2026–27 operating expense and a separate ₹ 2.7 crore programme. Qualified engineering colleagues decide what a result means and whether it can be used.
That division of responsibility makes my job more demanding, not less. I need to supply environments and records that let the responsible professional examine a result. I also need to explain when a remote working route is unsuitable, whose work a compute queue favours and what an imported value leaves unspecified. A successful technical operation is only part of the account the business needs.
The upgrade retained twelve open questions
We funded ₹ 92 lakh of investigation. Technical owners understood and accepted the eighteen default-related differences under their criteria, leaving 108 supported benchmark cases and twelve held outside migration. We did not alter comparison limits merely to improve the result.
Remote work had a defined exception
Twenty of twenty-four representative tasks met agreed interaction conditions after a ₹ 42 lakh remote-computing pilot. Four retained designated local workstations. Annual support added ₹ 16 lakh; neither that result nor the service introduction established a staffing saving.
The missing unit stayed missing until confirmed
A 120-row import contained 100 explicitly specified measurements and twenty with uncertain units. Source owners confirmed twelve of those twenty; eight remained held. The ₹ 38 lakh correction did not authorise software to guess a measurement's meaning from its size.
Current focus
Making professional-use conditions part of technology acceptance, including the decisions that remain with the technical practice after an application or computation has completed. I want investment discussions to retain those boundaries before implementation makes them expensive to rediscover.
