Start with the promise and what must be ready behind it

Describe the service promise your enterprise is trying to make and the dates, people and preparation it would require. I would like to understand whether the commercial account includes the cost of keeping specialist capability available, or assumes that every accepted assignment can be fitted around the others. A first discussion can use an anonymised operating example rather than customer schedules, private rates or details of valuable exhibits. For an executive mandate, explain the authority to change commitments and invest in repeatable capability. For an outside-board discussion, describe the chair’s expectations, the proposed time demands and the conflicts review alongside my existing executive directorship.
