Describe the decision technology must support

Please begin an executive discussion with the services the organisation depends on, the technology authority attached to the role and the decisions management wants to improve. I would welcome a CIO mandate where business ownership, continuity and supplier arrangements need to be considered together. A broad instruction to modernise without a decision sponsor would need further definition. For a board enquiry, outline the company's operating model, expected committee contribution and relationships that may overlap with my current employment. I cannot assess an appointment from a title alone. Do not send customer data, credentials, security reports or supplier contracts through an initial public approach. A substantive conversation would use an agreed confidential channel and appropriate employer consent. I am interested in whether my experience can serve the mandate; I am not offering a product recommendation or a predetermined technology programme before understanding the business.
