Chief Talent Transformation Officer — BPM Redeployment and Work Readiness

Planned Hiring / New

Chief Talent Transformation Officer mandate in Bengaluru, India · Business Process Management

Lead enterprise talent redeployment in a changing BPM workforce, establishing assessed work readiness and receiving-team accountability through a twenty-four-month opening agenda while building ongoing executive capacity to move people into viable assignments rather than count training completion as transformation.

The mandate

Automation and changing customer work are altering the assignments available inside a BPM organisation. Many professionals have completed learning programmes, yet receiving teams remain uncertain whether they can perform the new work or provide the supervision needed to make a transfer succeed. The organisation is creating an executive talent-transformation seat to own that transition across approximately 4,200 professionals. Employment is open-ended, with a twenty-four-month opening agenda establishing assessed readiness, viable receiving assignments and a continuing workforce-mobility institution.

The decisive unit is the person-to-assignment transition, not a completed course. A professional may have valuable domain judgement but need supervised practice in a different workflow; another may understand the tools but lack the customer context required for independent work. Receiving leaders define real assignment conditions and performance evidence. You establish fair assessment and development routes, then test whether the destination has a credible opportunity and coaching capacity. The organisation must not report a successful redeployment while the individual remains unassigned, is used only for temporary cover or quietly returns to the original team.

Twenty-two specialists and eighty manager champions support the chief talent transformation officer. You decide mobility programme priorities and readiness methods within approved people policy, hold receiving leaders to transition commitments and allocate the endorsed development budget. Business leaders retain customer staffing acceptance and operational performance authority. The CHRO owns employment policy, with reserved restructuring and reward changes going through established governance. The remit excludes automated employment decisions, technology-platform delivery and promises of guaranteed placement. It creates executive ownership of the transition evidence and choices without making talent assessment a substitute for actual work availability.

The opening agenda must leave clear visibility of who is ready, who needs a different development route and which receiving assignments can sustain the transition. Success should include verified use of capability after transfer and an honest record of unsuccessful or deferred moves. Bengaluru is the base, with Chennai and Hyderabad engagement to test manager practice. Continuing responsibility includes adapting mobility pathways as the BPM portfolio changes and developing internal leaders who can make defensible transition decisions without depending on the chief to negotiate every individual assignment personally.

What you will own

  • Establish person-to-assignment readiness evidence with receiving leaders, identifying the domain judgement, supervised practice and demonstrated work required before a proposed move can become an accountable staffing decision.
  • Decide mobility priorities using actual destination opportunities and coaching capacity, withholding a transition launch when learning demand is clear but no receiving team can support useful work afterwards.
  • Shape differentiated development routes for professionals with distinct experience gaps, avoiding a single curriculum that treats tool familiarity, customer context and independent work judgement as interchangeable forms of readiness.
  • Set transition commitments and review points with sending and receiving managers, ensuring the employee's new assignment, support and performance expectations are explicit rather than negotiated informally after transfer.
  • Test capability use after redeployment through observed work and manager evidence, distinguishing sustained assignment from temporary cover, unassigned bench time or an unrecorded return to the original process.
  • Present unresolved mobility choices to the chief executive and CHRO through fair evidence, preserving people-policy and customer staffing authority while making the consequences of unavailable destination work visible.
  • Develop talent specialists and manager champions to maintain readiness and transition governance, learning from deferred or unsuccessful moves without hiding them to protect the reported reskilling success rate.

Candidate qualifications

  • Demonstrate talent or capability transformation that moved professionals into materially different work, with evidence of readiness and sustained use after transfer. Explain a transition that you deferred or changed because the receiving assignment lacked support or real demand. The achievement must extend beyond a successful learning campaign: show what the individual could do afterwards, who accepted the work and how the organisation recognised an unsuccessful move.
  • Evidence 28+ years in people leadership, talent transformation or related organisational capability, with former VP or comparable senior responsibility in IT services or BPM. Coaching and structured change-management practice should be visible in your handling of employee uncertainty and manager adoption. The seat requires executive judgement across business functions, not merely administration of a development catalogue or brokerage of internal vacancies.
  • Show how you distinguished readiness gaps that needed different interventions, such as domain context, supervised practice or stronger judgement in a changed workflow. Explain the assessment evidence you used and how you avoided turning a course certificate into an employment promise. Experience working with industry or academic partners is useful where their input improves demonstrated work capability and the transition can still be judged against a real receiving assignment.
  • Demonstrate constructive influence over sending and receiving leaders whose short-term incentives conflicted. You must preserve fair people decisions, customer staffing acceptance and confidential employee records while making stalled transitions visible. Regular delivery-site engagement and development of manager champions are important. The executive should build a maintained mobility institution that can explain failures honestly and adjust routes, rather than achieve a headline target by counting people who have only completed training.
