For an executive conversation, I would need to understand the reporting line and the authority available to connect teams whose responsibilities remain distinct. For a prospective board seat, the institution’s ownership, committee expectations and likely demands during disruption would matter before any discussion of fit. Speaking enquiries should identify the audience and the decision it is trying to understand. Please do not send customer instructions, account records, recovery procedures or supplier contracts through an initial contact.
