I am Julian Wetherane, a fictional Australian chief information officer whose work concerns the commercial and editorial meaning carried by publishing systems. I joined Corvellan Publishing as an applications analyst in February 1989 after completing a computing degree at Tervale Institute. I moved to Ellavren Media in January 1999 and progressed through publishing systems, subscriber platforms and enterprise services before becoming CIO in January 2021.
My present remit covers 118 employees through five direct reports, with thirty-two contractors counted separately. I hold AUD42 million authority for FY2026–27, divided into AUD27 million operations and AUD15 million change. Ellavren's eight business and culture brands operate in Australia and New Zealand. Its 1.8 million paid subscriptions describe commercial relationships, not a count of distinct readers.
My proposed sessions examine subscription promises during migration, the journey of a correction, the evidence behind an archive assistant and the local differences an integration should retain. I distinguish technology's responsibility from editorial decisions, commercial terms and legal interpretation. I have executive board exposure but have not served as a director. Twenty proposed external days would require consent and examination against a real appointment or engagement calendar. All people, organisations, outcomes and speaking opportunities in this example are invented to demonstrate the depth and structure of a leadership website.
