I would welcome a discussion about a generating or industrial operating mandate where the organisation wants a clearer connection between maintenance commitments and the evidence behind them. Useful starting material would describe the assets, current responsibilities and the decisions that management is finding difficult to reconcile. I would want to understand existing technical and commercial authorities before suggesting a response. A possible first non-executive role could also be relevant, subject to employer consent, preparation, conflicts and the actual requirements of the appointment.
