An invitation
Start with the customer question your organisation needs to answer
An introduction is most useful when it describes the customer question and the decision behind it. For an advisory conversation, explain the proposition, the audience and the stage at which help is needed. A language review, an acquisition account and a branch explanation require different people around the discussion; we should establish that scope before sharing sensitive material. For a possible board role, please outline the ownership, service model, existing board knowledge and expected calendar. I would need employer consent and a relationship review, and my proposed twenty-four annual days must fit the actual responsibility. A speaking request should identify the audience and the question you want participants to examine. Please leave account information, unreleased product terms and confidential campaign results out of the initial approach. This fictional demonstration does not provide a real contact address. It illustrates the context that would make a professional conversation purposeful without promising an appointment or an outcome.
