Learning to ask what the measurement actually represents

I grew up in Dharwad and completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the fictional Zevqomri Institute of Engineering in May 2000. I joined Nerqelvi Thermal Works that July as a thermal engineer. At FY2003 scale the firm employed forty-five people and recorded ₹11 crore revenue. I worked under a project engineering manager without a delegated spending budget. My early responsibility was to understand the conditions attached to a measurement before using it to explain the behaviour of a design.

Supplier work introduced me to the distance between a component result and the customer's complete application. A drawing or test could be technically useful while leaving important assumptions outside its scope. I helped prepare records and examine reported behaviour under supervision, then carried unresolved questions to the people responsible for the actual design. I did not have authority to certify a customer's installation or cargo. That boundary was part of learning engineering responsibility, rather than an inconvenience added after the technical work was complete.

In September 2005 I became a project engineering lead. Nerqelvi reached seventy-eight employees and ₹24 crore FY2008 revenue. I led six colleagues within ₹48 lakh annual team expense, reporting to the engineering director. The work required me to connect technical proposals with manufacturing and service realities. I learned that an improvement in one measured property could create a different cost in the surrounding system, and that the proposal needed to retain both. I became interested in following a product beyond the supplier's individual assignment.

I joined Tazqerwi Coldbody Engineering in January 2011 as product engineering manager. At FY2014 scale the Salem enterprise employed 174 people and recorded ₹62 crore revenue. I led twelve colleagues within ₹1.8 crore annual expense under the head of engineering. Vehicle-body development brought the thermal design into contact with load, mass, cleaning, operating practice and long service life. I wanted the product discussion to include those dependencies before a successful component result became the basis of a wider commercial promise. Service colleagues helped me see which assumptions customers encountered after delivery, when a design decision had become an everyday operating arrangement.

In April 2016 I became head of engineering. The company reached 287 employees and ₹119 crore FY2019 revenue, while my twenty-two-person team operated within ₹3.9 crore annual expense. The 2018 demonstration became an important correction in my record. The air measurement reached the selected condition in fifteen minutes, but the instrumented thermal mass took seventy-three. I had supported a load-ready description that did not preserve the difference. We withdrew the claim and accepted ₹58 lakh of redesign and qualification work instead of treating the slower result as a footnote.

That episode changed the first question I ask about a demonstration. I want to know what the measurement represents, which conditions remain attached to it and whether the intended customer use asks a different question. Our resulting offer was confined to preconditioned loads where the actual application had been qualified. The body manufacturer did not become a certifier of food or pharmaceutical suitability. I retained responsibility for the overbroad proposition even though qualified specialists contributed to the later assessment and operating owners retained the use decisions.

I became CTO in April 2021. Today Tazqerwi employs 390 people and earns ₹186 crore FY2026 revenue, comprising ₹142 crore body manufacture and ₹44 crore service. I lead thirty-four engineers through four leads within ₹6.7 crore annual expense, including ₹2.4 crore research and change work. Leena Qavzerni is CEO and Joseph Tevqormi leads operations. A regional industrial holding company owns sixty-two per cent and a founder-engineer group thirty-eight per cent; I have no equity. The enterprise's manufacturing role remains separate from carrier, chassis and cargo-approval responsibilities.

My recent work has concerned insulation mass, seal compatibility, stale monitoring values and the support life of installed controllers. I work in English, Kannada and Tamil. I am also exploring an initial company-board contribution, with twenty days provisionally available. Databank registration remains to be undertaken, and I claim neither a completed proficiency assessment nor an exemption. I hold no statutory directorship. I would bring engineering judgement to collective oversight only after understanding the proposed enterprise, its applicable requirements, relationships and actual time demand.

In my own words

I once let an air-cooling result stand too close to a claim about load readiness. The instrumented load told a different story. I now ask what was actually measured, what the customer intends to carry and which part of the proposed claim the evidence does not support.
