Chief Strategy Officer United States

Tell me what you are deciding and why I might help

Strategy at a bank is a bet on which clients stay when the news turns, and I try to make that bet in writing.

Write to me if you chair or sit on the nominating committee of an insurer, a financial-services company outside banking or a large nonprofit with an investment portfolio, and you are considering a director for its risk, finance or investment committee. From mid-2027 I will also take conversations about chief executive or president roles at banks of roughly US$10 billion to US$30 billion, and I would rather hear early about a role that fits than late about one that does not. I accept a few invitations a year to speak about deposit strategy, bank acquisitions and fintech partnerships, where the audience wants an argument rather than an overview. Please tell me who you are, what you are deciding and any connection with Varrowfield. I cannot discuss pending transactions, Varrowfield's clients or our supervisors, and I do not review acquisition proposals or partnership pitches sent to me personally; those belong with our corporate development team. Varrowfield clients with an account concern should use the bank's service channels, which can act on it faster than I can.
